ok, so got my RC4wd discs today!! theyre awesome!! now that i have them, realising they are a tad larger than i was expecting, im likely to stick with the Venom brake kit i bought as it all fits inside the wheel much better than the 1/8 stuff. (so i might pull the rest of the EB4 to bits and keep it as spares) disc mounted to the rim (not the rim ill be using, but the same size) look at the wee lil bolts!! sits nice n deep inside the rim very happy with that (thats what she said! ! omg...) and the Venom caliper on the disc. just waiting for a pair of stock knuckles now. |

got my TR beadlocks today!! so happy with them even reduce the offset slightly. and by slightly im estimating approx 1mm-2mm lol 1.9> 2.2> so yea, happy all except one little issue. :( the brakes dont fit because of the way the beadlock system works... wraith v1 on left, Wraith poison spyder (TR) on the right. |

so tonight i decided to go ahead and grind out the screw mounts. unfortunately for me, i got lazy and thought i could do it without undoing the rim and treating the halves seperately and i made a right mess of it. so as im rather embarrassed of the mess, i wont show specifically what i did, but imagine a jagged hole saw being used as a grinding bit and youll see why im embarrassed to show it... lol. all that matters, its on the inside of the rim and you cant see it unless youre looking for it. :/ on a positive note, which is also another dilemma. (constant ey?) the calipers now fit inside and dont interfere, or wont interfere when i grind down the bolt heads that hold the pads on.. i think ill just give yall some pix to gawk at. |

is this better? yep MUCH better. sweet. just one setting on my phone. and im thinking i might even leave it like that. still plenty of resolution. good good. happy happy btw, anyone notice im gonna use that radiator in my wraithokee?? not for coolant, but for running the fuel thru, with fans on, and to look good. :P having the fuel in there will help with keeping the engine cool while having a place to mount the fans. |

This is a sick build. I can't wait to see where it goes. Those brakes are killer.

im just waiting on a few parts to arrive before i continue on this. ive ordered another cheap (HSP/Redcat/Exceed) "daily drive" truck so ill have something else to play with as well.. but im 99% guaranteeing that this rig will (one day) get completed. i had initially intended for it to go all out KoH styles, but the further in i get, the more i think it will end up closer to a "normal" 1:1 with a few choice mods. at some point, ill end up getting another shell for it, coz frankly, i regret chopping it up. but i do it to myself all the time... lol

| Re: Klampyz Wraithokee thankyou thankyou. im aiming at scale realism here. i dont think its going to be "perfect" but i want it to be a very realistic drive. hence the nitro, the hydro/pneumatic steering, and the fan forced radiator... im aiming for it to get a little heavy as well. |

You could add spacers between your wheel and brake disc hubs so your caliper would clear the inside of your wheel. I think gear head sells them on rpp.

k thanks for that. ill look into it. it only needs to be about 1mm.. bit of lexan drilled to suit would even work.

ya i use lexan as a washer for the wheels on my micro rs4 it works just fine this thing is epic man, my brother told me about a rig he saw that had a marine nitro engine in it and had the same radiator set up as you do are you worried about the motor getting hot? haven messed with nitro in years but my ol nitro rustler used to heat up like a mother and I had alot of holes drilled in the body cant wait to see the progress on this thread
