Fully bully? What is the estimated track width at the end of your hubs?

Yeah, they are Tig'd.

You could have used Axial ends to save time but the Axial shafts are not the best metal and break much easier than what I am using. They are the same stub shafts that 1/8 buggys use. Once you use this stub you would have a hard time going back to a standard threaded stub. These have pins in the hex and they are also in double sheer at the hex unlike the typical Axial hex that is in single sheer. You will also never bend a stub.

It boils down to:
Better shaft than Axial
You will never bend or break a hex pin
You have easier and lighter hub options
You will never bend or break a stub shaft

If everything goes right face of hub to face of hub should be 9.625". I did a very rough mock up with my BC's and looks like as narrow as 10.5" edge to edge. Hopefully perfect....

Thanks for the explanation I've been wondering about welding the axle shafys for a while now. This opens the door to endless options. Thanks once again.

That ends up much narrower than I'd have anticipated

Yeah, like I said though, be careful with the Axial stuff. It is not the strongest and welding them can make them worse.

I see you are you different length lock outs. Is that because you are using Berg width axle shafts? Are you concerned about the link geometry with the axle being longer on one side than the other?

Or heck, maybe it's some new cool way to prevent torque twist

Yeah, they are Berg length. I have not addressed the off center issue yet but there are a couple of ways I can go about it. As it sits, its only .060 off so it wont take much to get it to work with a stock housing.

So couldn't you just trim down the shorter side to make it all symmetrical with the link mounts?

You cant trim the shaft without getting into the gun drill. There are other options that are similar though.

I bet those Dlux Berg link mounts fit right on that axle tube.

there's not much. its the same thing, but just threaded for a nut instead.

about the only other benefit is your hex wont be at the end of the stud shaft. which helps keep the scub down.

The Wraith tube is significantly larger in diameter. It was an option I looked at and may use in the future.

Always good to have options

I will most likely make a set of hubs with close to zero offset though, kinda like my super.

Heh, yeah I forgot how skinny your berg tubes are.

I guess I should have said a "Dlux berg style link mount" would work.

Ok. I have been spending a TON of time on this rig, unfortunately, I cant show most of it. There is some cool stuff with these axles though.....

I can show the over all axles and the widths.

Rear coming in at approx 10.375"

Front ended up being approx 10.687" with BC's or Rovers, close to 11 with Sedonas but I dont think I will be running them anyway. That is about as wide as I care to be with Rovers, I wish it would have been a touch narrower but it is what it is unless I want to mod the housing, which I dont right now.

Yeah, I hope I can be done by the 26th. I was not counting on it but now I have the axles completely done (which was a ton of work!) and I should have pictures to post tonight of my last real tough project. Its been really difficult building things and not being able to show them in my build but the internet will just have to wait an extra month or so. I might be able to show you in 3 weeks or so.

Here is a of pictures of what I am currently working on. I should have the finished product up tonight.
