First upgrade would be a sway bar then after that in this order. Links and steering links, universals, drivelines. Then electronics

Did some digging around quick before work this morning. Found my wheel/tire combo & a random RC4WD Outcry Brushless system, Would it be correct to assume that these parts are worth swapping into the rig? ESC will be a CC Mamba Max Pro (it's out in my garage) Here is a few pics, boy it's nice to have these still laying around rather than having to buy it all over again! |

It's discontinued. Just run it till she blows. Ask this guy he may be able to enlighten you from a 2012 test, lol. Outcry high performance brushless ESC Hit the search button and you may get some enlightenment. |

I just ordered a bomber as well.My parts list to upgrade are UC Fab trailing arms and rear sway bar, Dlux upper rear and upper and lower front links Dlux front swaybar kit unsure on wheels but Voodoo U4's for sure holmes hobbies brushless system, not sure of kv yet then i will tune it and run it for a while. there are lots of parts showing up for these rigs, it shouldnrt be hard to find parts to tune it to your liking |

I just got mine today, pulled the electronics to go brushless and replaced the servo before I ever ran it. I'm waiting for my steering kit. After 30 seconds of running, the dog bones have to go! Wretched!!!!! Universals up front are a must!!!!! Did I mention you'll want to replace the dog bones with universals first....? Last edited by Dornbox; 12-18-2015 at 07:30 PM. Reason: Clarity |

So looks like CVD, Servo, and the rear sway bar (how does the sway bar affect flex?) So far.

It will limit flex a lot. If your going to crawl then disconnect it. Carter fab used to sell a quick disconnect setup but last time I checked, it was discontinued.

On the cheap you could use these but would need to source a pin & Clip but that's not hard to do. Ran mine for 3 intense hours today. It's very capable out of the box! Even crawling the sway bar would be good especially on side hilling. The rear axle has mad articulation so the sway bar will help keep it in check. One of the guys I run with had a very thin one on and his RR10 today and it was spot on. Universals are also key. The front dog bones are terrible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Went out & got 'er muddy: Ordered the 1st round of goodies, Since VP is out of most suspension parts, I tried to focus another important aspect of this project! Parts Ordered: Hitec HS-7950TH Servo x2 VP Aluminum Diff Covers VP 3/16 Ti Wraith Drag Link VP 3/16 Ti Wraith Tie Rod VP Wraith Stage One Kit (Black) x2 Axial Universal Axle Sets Castle Creations 10 Amp BEC Racers Edge Aluminum Single Clamping Servo Horn. ====================== Now, can anyone help me out with this fancy servo? I guess I'll be switching over to the Mamba Max Pro & Brushless next. Is it alright to run my HS-7950TH without a BEC? Last edited by F1GHTF1R3W1THF1Re.; 12-28-2015 at 08:06 AM. Reason: Bought more goodies hehe |
