Still waiting on mounts for my light bars but it's almost ready for a night run.

Should be awesome once I get a little more forward lighting.

Goldmember went out for a night crawl this evening and performed great!! The rock lights made up for the lack of forward lighting. Every time I run this rig it surpasses my expectations. The on the fly drag brake feature of the Monster X is worth every penny. I don't feel like I need to upgrade a thing on it but if I do it'll go into tighter steering angle. It's the perfect rig to have between my yeti and scx10. I almost don't even need the other two anymore....almost

Since I'm waiting on a wiring harness from mad dog and I have a night crawl tomorrow night, I had to do something to get my light bars up and running. Used a spare heyok bec to power them up for now. Set it @ 9.6V until I know for sure how the lights will react to the battery slowly running down while out on the trail.

Been a while since I've been on the forum or posted an update on Goldmember. Happy to say this rig is handling abuse very well. I've only broken 3 of the stock rod ends which isn't a big deal, fixed em on the trail. 2 of the bent rod ends and 1 on the steering. Finally got the fan on the Monster X to turn on during a solid 40 min climb up a ridge.

Will be looking to upgrade the foams pretty soon, the stock foams seem to be showing wear and almost getting softer.

Awesome job on the Bomber, shiftauto!
I'm really digging the look, it's definitely unique.

The Bomber seems to hold up surprisingly well. 3500KV worth of Holmes power and like yourself, only a few rod ends have let go on mine so far. I'll be replacing all of them with Traxxas rod ends, should help in terms of strength as well as slop, as I've noticed the stock balls wear out VERY quickly.

Can I ask which Beef Tubes you opted for?
I can't tell if they're the brass ones or if they're the aluminium ones and it's just the yellow from your cloth reflecting off them...

I used the brass beef tubes. Your not joking about the stock plastic balls wearing out quick. I'll be swapping mine out in the near future

Lil update on Goldmember. Decided it was time to try out some small changes since I have a bunch of stock wraith parts in the spare parts pile. Put the stock rtr wraith rear links in(upper and lower). Also put a rear wraith Mip driveshaft. Removed the sway bar and installed my stock rear yeti shocks to the axle. Finally gave in and removed the spare tire carrier as well. I am completely blown away with how much these changes improved the rig. The shorter wheel base was amazing. I need to mess with the upper links length to dial in the pinion angle a bit better but it didn't bind or cause any problems. Gained the ability to climb much steeper spots not having the spare tire carrier on it.

I've also installed some Dual stage CI foams and added a wheel weight I had laying around into the fuel cell in the back.

Goldmember is still running strong. I've shortened the rear end to wraith length with the shocks mount to the axle for now. Running MIP shafts now too. Anyone that's curious the front is using 2 wraith drive hubs mip#11117 with a male bone mip#10134 from a slash 4x4. I didn't make the switch because of driveline failure, just because I had stuff laying around and wanted to wrench.
