ok sounds good. they only have silver as far as i saw, which is fine with me, but i was curious.

I got some new mods to the rig, just waiting on new ESC, and light kit.
And im still trying to find a way to make the winch work with my new DX6i.

i spent $60 on the wireless winch from RC4WD, it lasted about 2 weeks, then cr@pped out, now im trying a 3Racing one, i can get them for $20 at the local hobby shop and am thinking about having one in front and one in the rear since they are so cheap

did the remote crap out? or the winch?

with the rc4wd winch you get a spare motor and a spare gearbox.
I bet the remote crapped out. the rc4wd winch is much stronger compared with the 3racing one

I have no clue, i tried my spare gearbox and motor-nothing
swapped components with my buddies wireless winch in every way-nothing.
i plan on getting a spare RC4WD winch motor/gearbox, and mounting it inside my 3R winch housing

We like the KM2s, ours are 35"s. We havent had as much time to test them out since we are undergoing front and rear axle swaps, but before the axle swap they were great

VINTAGECOPAL: what are you having problems with in mounting the body? got any pics on where you are at?

So what are we saying here that the 3racing winch is a better unit than the rc4wd one . I did see that rc4wd's is not water proof . I just like it tho because the remote it comes with. How dose the 3racing winch work i only have a 2 channel remote . I want to get one but want to get a good one no what i mean.

it has a little switch box that allows plugs into your reciever and a power source. on the switch box is a button, you can either press the button and make it work, or run it off your reciever. i have a spektrum dx6i, so i have mine programmed into it. the #3R winch is good, ive had this submerged many times, and when i did the same with the RC4WD one, it had some problems afterwards. i hope i helped

I am leaning toward the 3racing just because it will see water and mudd and gunk neither are that high so if one dont work then ill get the other and mabey make a frankinstein winch .
