chris you should see timmys winch without the snatch block and on 3s. its scary fast and completely useless. the way i got it setup now is it runs off my bec which is set at 6.2 volts, but as it proved at the cliffs it needs more grunt since it was browning out the bec when i was trying to pull timmy through the mini-rubicon. maybe i'll set the bec to 7.2 and see if that works.

it worked fine pulling john.

the snatch blocks are what kills the speed on the 3racing and rc4wd winches, but its a fair trade off to not put so much strain on the winch, and it also doubles the pull rating.

Melons new Gripfab wheels with Rogue Elements knock off's. The RC4WD Steelies with Underground Crawlers spacers couldn't hold my jacked up beads anymore... the Gripfab wheels look badass and work.

They are only on by a few threads so I don't know. I put them on after the regular nuts.
I think I'll have to blue loctite them if I want to run them... maybe just for the extra point during comps.

Melons is getting a new winch... a C.L.A.W.!
It should be here today.

Also, I got my freshened up 14t Puller back from HH.

I'm not sure about the new wheels... they are awesome and look killer... just not sure they are right for Melons. She's a simple, down to earth type of gal and not used to debutant style.

That's not what I heard
The new Vanquish wheels would look killer on there!

The C.L.A.W. is mounted and works great, I love the free spool!

I ended up mounting it a little offset, I may try to mount it over again.

I started masking the stripes today... I still haven't decided on color combo:

1. flat black with gloss black stripe
2. flat black with orange stripe
3. gloss black with flat black stripe

So I finally decided on the more visible Orange stripe over the more subtle gloss black stripe.

I think it looks pretty good, especially with the Buxom Melons stickers.

Thanks!
It's growing on me... It keeps catching my eye from across the room, I like it!

Last night I resisted the urge to peel the rest of the mask away and start to mount it up.
I'm going to paint the inside silver tonight.
I thought about painting it primer or some sort of rust color... but I think silver should look good underneath, it's going to show alot on the fenders, hood and above the doors once it gets all scratched up.

I removed the CLAW and built a servo winch today, still need to mount it. Also painted the tube work and added a fairlead.
