Quick question...are you able to complete these comps with one battery, or do you change out batteries during the run?

I can attest to this. Crawler Dad (Marc) is really cool to deal with, his lights are bright as all get out, and very reasonably priced. They're not for RTR type guys, as you have to figure out your own mount, but I don't think that'll be a problem for you. |

Hey Bill, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get that toggle switch? I'm running the same light setup as you and wanted to do something like that. Thanks!

| Re: Billj"s G6 Build I wanted to do the same install, but decided on a different approach. I placed my switch behind the driver's seat because I wanted to be able to easily reach inside. If I run sand ladders on top of the cage they might be in the way. And since I'm using a three position switch, I thought it would work better for me. So far it's easy to reach the switch from the side. I do like that setup though.

| Re: Billj"s G6 Build I run my lights on a separate 850 3s Velcroed to the underside of my drivers seat. Ran the lights for over an hour with no problem. I run my 3300 3s for 111 gates, about 1 hour, with no problems. I think i could do another 75 with it |

Got in a little practice today at RRW, with my son Tyler (Rocky666). Got front end into a little bind and twisted a driveshaft Thanks to John at RRW for giving me a new driveshaft. Heres Rocky666's freshly painted G6 Last edited by billj; 06-09-2014 at 04:09 PM. |

| Re: Billj"s G6 Build Thanks Trump I just ordered the MIP #13360 kit. Ill be glad to get rid of the plastic stuff. The wildboars seemed to hold up well in the beginning. But in the last week i have gone through two fronts, and now the rear is a little twisted too. I knew it was just a matter of time before i went to MIP's.

I've discovered that an M6 bolt is a nice press fit into the drive shaft. Tap it in lightly, worked well.

And yes i have the ud/od gears in since the beginning. It climbs and turns a 1000% better with them. I really want to get one of your winches for my G6. They look like a great piece. As far as the driveshafts go, I have always loved MIP's. Had them on my AX10 and my Sporty rigs. | |
