I bought a cheapo harbor freight flux wire welder (no gas) for $120 a few years ago. I spent more grinding and cleaning up slag/splatter than welding and working. I bought this Hobart a couple months after I was tired of fighting the flux wire welder. This hobart is 110v and was around $750 after taxes and a trip local auto parts store to get a MIG bottle. It is a light duty welder but works pretty good for rc stuff. I am self taught and Not that good but it gets me rigs built. Search welding on RCC and you'll find some other information on what guys have used.

I usually build with 3/16" tube but I am out right now. I hope to get another 40-50' of 3/16" tube in the near future.

| ![]() These are the RC4WD scaler shocks but can mistaken for the Kings. Four dual spring shocks and two Internally sprung scaler shocks. I have them setup with 45wt oil for now since i am running front and rear sway bars. I will run it hard tomorrow and find out. I replaced the orings, Cut slits in the shock pistons and polished the shock shafts. I will have the new Vanquish shock limiting straps on soon. These shocks are prone to breaking the small e-clips when over extended too hard. The looks are killer but the performance has to be worked on. These shock pistons are alot smaller in diameter than 1/10 shocks so they do not dampen the suspension like bigger diameter shocks do. Thanks for starting the chassis out for me. Great design lines. I have about 35 hours in building since I got the starter chassis from ya. My normal bare panels and stickers a plenty. Im too lazy for paint. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RTR ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good lookin rig! Love the ultra4 stuff! I've been wanting to shed the weight of my seats in my wraith, what drivers do you have there? It looks like those would be a close fit in a wraith chassis.

Hpi Apache half interior. They may fit the wraith chassis. Not 100% sure. I have a spare new one if you wanna try it. I am running front and rear sway bars with light shock oils. So far it handles great at speeds and still crawls decent. Ill carry a 2mm and 3mm hex tool with me incase i need to remove the front sway connects on the trail.
