Another epic build

Gotta get that 2 stage pistons for my big bores

And the delrin wheels holding up? I keep debating going with these or aluminum wheels

also i dont know if you accepting names, but id like to officially dub this thing "The Platypus"

Yep, longest BB's they make. Sanding the pistons is easy, once you know how to do it. lol And I am getting more patient with my shock building as well.

With these big bores and RPM pistons, the suspension action is super smooth. I can drop the rig from 2-3' off the ground with not slapping/bottoming out. The shocks soak up the little stuff and handle the big jumps.

I quickly searched youtube before installing and found this for piston and eclip sanding.

See above on the piston handling and back a page for the part numbers. they offer two kits.
These are actually plastic. Only issue I had of recent is the SLW bolts for the hub came loose after several hours of use. I forgot to locktite them!

Get the wheels here. SLW button head hub hardware included. Different that what I use, capsheads. I suggested to Eddie to use button heads over the cap heads when I installed the first prototypes and what did he do? Included them with every wheel purchase!

I get mine here: RC Shox The only prep work you have to do it give the parts a quick once over to check for burrs. IIRC, if he doesn't offer pistons for a particular shock you have, he'll work with you to get them added to his lineup.

The RPM's say Traxxas shocks on the packaging but the pistons require about a 0.5mm of sanding to fit inside. Put the dremel on the table and with the pistion installed on the shock shaft, hold against sandind drum, piston will spin and get sanded down evenly.
Some of the top shock shaft eclips need sanding too. the 2 hours of build time on these shocks is well worth it. the second set I built for my 1.9 build went way faster.

well i've got big bores on all 3 of my rigs, so i've got lots of tuning ahead of me.

I'll have to wait till i get home, work malware server won't let me on CI's website

CI sells the Pistons as well, if that is what you are referring too.
