I'll take the weight savings and ease of use that comes with the smaller wires. I'm running 18 AWG on the motors, and 16 everywhere else.
I don't know. My point was just that using the average amp draw is irrelevant to how much voltage drop you may get with a smaller wire. What matters is the peak amp draw. I just wanted to make sure everyone was not using incorrect information to make their decisions.

Yes but remover the batteries the comp guys are running are normally a max of 900mah. Running a 45c pack will only put out 40.5 and you will probably never get to that,

Default Best XR10 Wiring Jobs...

So here is my xr10, it has dual tekins a cc bec and a futaba reciver, i was able to fit the tekins and and my bec in the axial case with the reciver right behind the box, i also put the wire stuff on all the exposed wires. let me know what you think.

The same, but with 12 awg wire gives 0.86% voltage drop.

Up it to 60amps and the 20 awg has a voltage drop of 10.99%
12 awg has a drop of 1.71%
Thanks for the info.

If the 90% of the time in a course i'm going below 20 Amps, there is no reason to use big wires. Anyway, as the 900mAh 45C lipos can't punch over 40A, the max voltage droop must round 7% with 20 AWG. Therefore using 16-18 AWG semms to be the more weight-vdroop balanced option.

¿What AWG comes with the fxr's? I'm using these.

It looks super clean but I'd be worried about heat build up from the ESC's.
They cannot efficiently dissipate heat in an enclosed plastic box.

This is the most compact tray I could come up with while allowing heat to dissipate efficiently and allowing full view of the ESC indicators. The caps are actually used to operate the INC buttons and the dean plugs fit right into the ESC post slots. The battery (not shown) is mounted at a 45 degree angle between the front upper shock mounts. It makes it super easy to remove/insert from above.

Here's my electronics package for my Rockshow SS.

Castle BEC
(2) Mamba Micro Pros
Futaba Receiver
Chris The Battery Man's By Pass connector.
Power leads are soldered to the motors.

The ESCs have both servo tape and wire to tie them down to the skid. I cut recesses into the bottom of the skid top conceal the wire from the rock. They are very stable and aren't effected by connecting and disconnecting the battery plug.

Your best work to date Chris Seeing this one inspires me to try giving some fxr's the super squish.

I love how you have the bec wired into the vacant batery posts, but where'd the bec cap go?

Would you even need the cap on it if you reconfigured the two ESC's & CCBEC so there was only one larger cap?

IMO, no you would not, i just squished my 2 mamba micro sidewinders and dropped the cap from my bec, each sidewinder has a cap, should be more than enough to help out the BEC..

i'll post my wiring after i get my electronics plate.

or you can check out my youtube to see my build videos, there's one showing hwo i squashed the 2 sidewinder micros, and where i hid the bec... info is in my signature.

I'have made a new layout for the elctronics. All but the TX is foward the front link screws in the skid. I've moved the bec under the servo and i've removed all the innecessary wires. Now i have the same bias than before when i wear more weight in the knukles. I've welded inside the esc's the power switch and i don't see this cuted wire anymore.

Now, the front motor wires are short and the rears are very long!!! All the wires to the receiver goes by the same side and together and i think i've archieved a clean job:
