Just out of interest were you running the mrc or mini silvers in the rear?
I am running Mini-T silvers all the way around now. If you are running north of 4.5lbs overall or have knuckle weight, you would probably be better off with MRC silvers on the rear shocks.

Under load they just didn't hold the hex.
What hexes are you running? I am running Axial SCX10 aluminum hexes and they feel pretty solid in these wheels. I am still pretty nervous about them though, so I will be switching to some of Jeremy's CF faced wheels over the summer.

Here's a better picture that shows my link and shock positions. I am running the rear shocks all the way out on the chassis, and the fronts in one hole from the outside.

The front and rear links are mounted one hole from the top f/r on the chassis, and on the middle holes on the VP upper link mounts. I still have a 3mm spacer under my front link mount, so this roughly works out to running the top hole on the VP mount without spacers underneath it.

I'm very pleased with how my skins from Krawler Konceptz held up. I'm only running .015" lexan panels, but since the skins are inside the panels, it hides how much time I actually spent on my lid at PCC

Man our setups are very similar.

You will be suprised how much little weight gain there is in the Y-Town wheels to the plastic wheels.

Have you ever thought about using an epoxy to secure the hexes? I have beat on my plastic HPI's with epoxied hexes and I've had zero failures to date.

The stock XR hex has the nipple on it. You either need to drill the rim to seat over the nipple or grind the nipple down for the hex to fully engage the hex pocket.

I was running the mrc silvers in the rear and mini silvers up front, rig just didnt feel right since dropping weight from 2300g to 1900g so a few days before the comp i swapped to mini silvers all round, now it feels far more settled and just flat out works.. dropped my oil to 35wt/r 25wt/f but will goto 35wt all round

Thanks Manu!

My front lowers are 121mm eye to eye. 95mm Lunsford link + Losi 17* bent rod end + Losi straight rod end.

Good job! Truck looks great and I can imagine after you get some drive time on this thing you'll be unstoppable. I also have the same problem tipping over allot and have contemplated switching back to bodied but the body less looks so cool. I admire your building and drivin style.

The secret agent or bodiless has a tip over problem? Can someone explain that?

It doesn't have a tip over problem and It was actually designed to tip back on its wheels better than the previous versions but like any body less chassis when you tip over in sand or flat ground it is harder to get back on the wheels than with a body.

Hey Jake,
Looks like you're not using the axle tops neither in the front, nor the rear. Am I right, M. Wright ?
I mounted mine focusing on your test and added 110mm lunsford on for uppers both sides... My SA seems to work and I just have to improve my driving skills.
Thanks for any input !
Emmanuel.

I'm using stock axle housings front and rear with VP upper link mounts, knuckles, and Axial HD motor plates. I might be trying the VP housings later this summer though

I'm glad the SA is working for you... just wait until you get some drive time on it
