Hi Jake !

I see you running straight upper links and was wondering how they worked for you ? What size are they ? I'd like to use the axial bent ones I had on my BJV4. What do you think of it ?

Thanks bro !!!

I presume 22.5 is Losi shock oil, what does that approximate to on the Associated scale?

We received these over the weekend...they're going fast

Jake are these 2g lighter per side than STOCK or than the 6mm Hulksta ones?

Can anyone give me an idea how tough these carbon fiber chassis hold up to damage? I have this vision of the chassis snapping when the rig falls on it's lid. I really want to get the SA or the Switch but this worry is holding me back.

I have been beating on my SA for a while now with no issues, and my cf bj4.2 before that. YTC chassis are made from high quality CF.

Looks like he just has it assembled different. That looks like the same piece everyone typically runs at the very nose of the truck. These professional guys do things differently than us normal folk. Then again, a setup like that might not be quite as sturdy than the "normal" setup

I was going to say the same thing. It just looks like a delrin rod cut to length to suit the chassis

Having it would help to eliminate the need for the chassis stiffeners, with out too much of a weight gain.

Well, according to KrawlFreak's thread, post 446:

On top of that, the doublers/stiffeners are need to get the chassis to meet the 8" minimum length.

Have any of you found the need of a brace between the shocks?

I know one guy on here busted his SA at the shock mount. I personally think the chassis got damaged during assembly though (i.e. the shock hole he used got chipped while inserting the shock mount screw). Every other build i've paid attention to seems to have it assembled in the "standard" way and seems to be holding up fine.

I run delrin spreader bars between my shocks for stability and piece of mind.
