It looks to me like the signal for steering servo is getting confused by going through the bec. Try a signal wire from servo direct to rx.

That is the right servo/bec/rx idea.. Like Solitaire posted as well..
Spektrum or not, I'm not a big fan of leaving any of it without a ground..
All 3 from servo to bec, all 3 out of bec to rx (minus the power wire into the rx)

The rear axle, "making sound like a servo binding".. Sounds like the Holmes Hold may be on, to me..
It's almost like a servo trying to find center.. The motor is bein locked by Holmes Hold and makes that noise..

It could be possible with spektrum..

I got my MT-4 when I stepped into dual esc's..
This setup came from Chris-the-Battery-man, a couple years ago..
I run this bec setup in both my pro's an both sporty's.
Does the same thing as a bypass adapter, without the extra plugs an wire, in theory.. Lol..

Well, looks like that was the problem after all. I ended up not plugging any of the wires coming from the BEC to the Rx and just making a new signal wire from the servo direct to the Rx and it worked right away! Thanks for the message Curcal. It seems like it was getting a bit confused. I'll blame Spektrum but at least it is sorted out now!

and......that completes my build! Wow.....

Thanks everyone for all the advice and assistance! Now I just need to get some time on the rocks and perfect the adjustments, etc!

Now, anyone have any final thoughts/opinions/advice from this point?

Thoughts...looks like a very clean build, Adam
Opinions...it's waaaaay too clean
Advice...get that thing out on the rocks at Ioco on Sunday. It's our last comp of the season and you're long overdue for a maiden.

^^^ agreed ^^^

My only thought is..
Ur cab's on backwards! Lol..

Looks great Adam!
What's ur break over height, with shocks fully extended?

Front shock forward a hole, would be my only recommendation.

How's the clearance for that battery tray when you're at full lock R & L?
Doesn't take much to take out a sidewall when a tire crunches up laterally. I'd be a bit concerned with the sharp edge of the tray.

Maybe take a couple of pics at full lock both ways.

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated.

Troy, the breakover height is 3 1/2" with shocks at full extension. With that in mind, would you still move the front shocks forward one hole?

Solitaire,

The battery tray is totally fine, the tires don't come close at all. That being said, they did before which is why I cut the top half of the tray off. While I was at it, I also sanded the edges butter smooth so nothing could snag on them...just in case.

I was just concerned about the area in green...

Tires get all squirrely when you're in a bind or trying to grab a ledge. Especially soft VooDoos. Maybe trim that little end piece off?

Solitaire, I will take a look at it when I get back home and see if I need to trim it a bit more. Thanks for the heads up.

Chevotafun, I am away yet again but will be returning next Saturday. Of course that will be too late for me unfortunately. A little frustrating for me as I have been dying to get this thing out crawling!

Solitaire,

As you may have expected, you were right. I put it through a couple of quick trials on a pile of rock I have and the tire was getting awfully close to hitting that part of the battery tray. So, I ended up trimming it off

Thanks again for the heads up.
