| Aussie yeti XL
Hey guys, I first saw a yeti XL on YouTube and the torque twist blew me away, finding out later it made it uncontrollable, I still thought it was cool and I had to have one. Ive decided to build my first yeti XL buying part's from eBay and others. Some parts have started to arrive and I have more on the way. I plan to run a mamba max and 2200 on 6s I'm a huge Hpi savage fan and have a few nitros and two flux's, one I converted to electric and another built from ground up with alza cd. I've already had a look around and there is some cool builds and hope to pick up some tips and advice on rccrawlers. Thanks Ben |

Welcome to the fun. FIRST go into CastleLink and turn the punch control and brake settings down and do the BHB mod to the pinions. Get an aluminum steering HR or DHAWK.

| Re: New to axial yeti A three channel Traxxas radio is about $45 on eBay. You could go with one of those. I personally use an airtronics MT4. Excellent radio, and telemetry is nice.

Fun Fun !!! Make sure you check out the NEW GPM beveled gears ! No MOD necessary !! Plus the spider gears are #45 steel ! But I'm sure you already checked that out on the Thread.. Have fun and if you come to a hard spot holla ! BTY If I was you I'd check out my basher bar that supports the front tub/front clip and also makes it way easier to assemble !! If you need a template or want me to make ya up one let me know!! My profile has hundreds of pictures of different stages of assembly if that helps..

I wonder how nice the GPM new front bulkhead will be?... Looks like it's made like the stock/ Hot Racing bulks or at least how the 2 pieces come together.

Where did you see that... You got me all scared.. I like the original setup... My NEW Dhawk V2 looks the same as the V1 on my ebay order.. and I couldn't find one under GPM so I assuming that's what you meant..

Well haven't got far, I seemto be missing a lot of screws so it's going to take some time to figure out what I need and then buy and wait for the mail man. |

So I've ordered the necessary screws & got most of it together or what I could, tranny and differential's should turn up soon. And this was rather annoying. The two plastic thingys for mounting the shocks were missing. |
