You think those boot would work on a wraith?? Or do they go up the shaft to far?

You can trim them to fit I would say. I don't own a wraith but my friend does I will look and see, but I would say they will

Cool let me know, my buddy has a wraith and I'm setting up the xr mod on my scx10 and these would be great. Axle swaps aren't the easiest on that thing with the set screw lockers with beef tubes and the cutting and filing of the shafts lol

I got the axle all built minus the xr mod. I'll be taking lots of pics and hopefully i can write good enough for people to understand haha. The thread if you haven't seen it yet is "finally got a scx10 (Tacoma build)" under the scx10 section

I'm buying the super swampers I posted on the motoworx Rc wheels tomorrow . I will post pic's when I get them mounted....the factory tires really stink. The Yeti XL tires don't tho. Did a sniff test at the local hobby shop..hehehe

So I wanted a more custom look on the body and to be honest the rc4wd super swampers didn't fit the scale of the factory body. They seem bigger than the super swamped XL's. So this is what I came up with. Oh and the motoworx Rc Slw wheels are on the way

I'm curious as to what you guys think on this.

Received my Carter Fab quick disconnects for the sway bar today. Very nice touch and allows for more articulation!

Also made a fuel tube out of silicone hose .then the scale radiator and made hoses for it out of some black silicone wire. Reinstalled the exhaust in a coustom spot. painted the fire extinguisher for that extra touch

That thing just looks killer!!! Love the panels! Filler tube is just nitro fuel line? I wanna go through and add those touches when I do my winter rebuild/build on it. What did you make those panels out of?

Also I like how you mounted the radiator in the "scale" location. That's where 1:1 U4 cars would have them. Up higher for better air flow. I've been seeing a lot of people mount them in the lower spot.

My buddy (prez of the 4x4 club I'm treasurer of) is gonna be starting his 1:1 U4 car here soon. 4-5 years in the making. Think he is getting a spot on Miller motor sports when he's done. Would love to build a rc version of his rig for him.

Thank you very much coma!!!!! It means a lot to me that someone actually responds to this tread and likes it ..lol

The filler tube is from a water cooling hose off one of my rc boats (or fuel tube) and the panels are lexan or whatever the body is made from....I picked it up at the hobby shop and a can of white model spray paint . Then used construction paper to make templates to make em fit right. I also had to pre-drill some tiny holes to mouth it but most of the screw holes are already there. And on the radiator I just removed the tabs then mounted it from the back side

Hope that helps and thanks again brother

Cool deal. Makes me wonder if I should use the deadbolt body I got for it or attempt something like this. In my opinion that's one of the best looking yetis on here. Love the combination of interior and exterior panels. I don't like the interior panels near the door because the cage is missing the one tube and I think it looks horrible. Thumbs up!!! I'll be updating my scx10 thread later, got the xr mod just about done!

Looks good! Careful cutting fan grills out like that, you may see your fan puke the guts out if you land upside down hard. Usually the grills have dimples that keep the blade assembly from ejecting upon impact.

What system you looking at? I've been eyeing the Novak setup with the 17.5t. It's not insanely priced and I think I would be happy with performance.

Mine gonna be raced in a series called King of the Scalers and almost sounds like a g6 style format (don't have all the details yet except it's the same as KOH). That is only gonna be like 4 races and the rest of the time with the rig will be trailing and some bashing.

Is the factory one in opie's thread yours? (nice ride Opie)
And it's a toss up between the tekin system and the Novak for me. I've looked at castle too but I like the tekin and Novak stuff. I'll post it when I get it figured out....hopeing to hear more on the 2 speed tranny soon!! I'm loosely basing it on that.
