All I can say sexy and wish shipping was instant! Can't wait for mine!! Couple quick questions.... BEC you installed, is that just powering your servo? Mounting the mmp, servo tape? And as always, one of my favorite yetis on here! |

Thanks for the kind words cmbscx10!! The sidwinder fan is the one that has little d shaped tabs on the shroud. The motor fan is a castle creations blower for 550 motors.

Installed the castle bec in my tx tray. Works great and hides ugly wires...hehehe..also made a pig tail off the mmp so I can use castle link by just plugging it in the the top on the rear of my esc Last edited by dasco; 12-02-2014 at 06:06 PM. |

So about the BEC being in the RX compartment - I was going to also do this, but I was advised not to as the electrical interference caused by the BEC can play havoc with the RX giving it false signals and reducing range. Can you let me/us know how it pans out for you, if you get any craziness etc? If you get no issues I might relocate mine when my RX8 shows up. Current'y it's stashed under my ESC. |

If you live in dryer climes then yeah, great plan. If you're running it in wet/muddy conditions then it's a really bad plan as it's far from watertight. Last time i had that box open it was wet and dirty. Plus, if you ever intend on getting the two-speed setup you're best avoiding it. |

There seems to be no issue at all with interference or signal dropout. I have used bec by the tx a thousand times on my quadcopters with no Ill effect so you should be ok coma. I had my bec mounted there too zombie. The shift box is a good spot if you won't be in the water ,mud ect . You will need to move it tho when you get the 2 speed. Just thinking ahead Last edited by dasco; 12-02-2014 at 06:09 PM. |

That won't work for me then. Vt is a lot of mud and our u4 style racing is rain or shine. Thanks for the info!

Disregard the quick connect for the castle link. It only works when it is unplugged from the receiver. The only way to do this is open the bottom :( so I need to see if I can add a servo connection to the esc I can detach from the top. Oh well back to the drawing board.
