Neat little trick that's trick..lol. I lost a pin for my sway bar quick disconnects from Carter Fab. So I ordered 4 more from clay and it turns out they make awesome quick disconnects for the rear shock so one can swap out the lower shock mount location..a few pics.

Will do !! I have had the hr set in the rear for a few weeks and it is very nice spiral gear ,HD ..ect. I had a sound coming from the front end under hard breaking that sounded like a playing card in a bike spoke (lol if you ever did that) and apon further inspection I noticed the factory ring and pinion looked like I was grinding up cast aluminum powder. The pro4 has way more stop and go. So I installed the same gears (hrhd) in the front with my silly putty dif and all good. I will put in the axial locker tomorrow and report back with a few pics and observations.

Curious, haven't got anything for the front on mine yet. UD gears and maybe a locker out back. Haven't decided if I wanna run it.

Unless you want to predominantly crawl ,I'd advise against the ud gear in the rear coma. It will put a lot of stress on the drive train.. try an 18t pinion on the pro4hd and this thing really moves!!

A lot of people are running standard front UD rear. Helps keeps the back end from coming around and corners better. I wouldn't want to do a o/u drive setup. That would be just to hard on it.

I agree with the use of a UD gear.
My Sexo is setup this way, as will my yeti..

Same concept as rally cars. They typically apply more power to the fronts over the rears to be more stable.

Maybe something to try...but not for me. I would think the UD gear would be used more to navigate the rocks like a dig unit...if you want to keep the rear in check use a gyro. Way less stress and works a whole lot better for that + u get the power too the rear when you need the extra kick!!!

The rally cars have a split differential so they dial in how much power goes to the front tires, the power is exchanged in the diff not the gears so they don't see extra wear. you may not see the bind as much if you are in the dirt/off road tho.If you do try it let me know the results

Yeah I know it's a split differential but I was talking about the outcome. Achieving the same handling properties. We od UD our 1:1 trail rigs. No pavement use though.

Gears already installed lol

I haven't found it to be a problem in asphalt.. The Sexo is stock HD front and UD HD rear... 20mph rig(with the HH BL in it), 26-28mph when I ran the Pro4 4000kv.. So basically the same as the yeti with a locked front.
It's a 8lb RC, with a bombproof drive train.(speaking in general) No more stress then our pointer finger tend to put on them.. ;)

Scx xj, OD/UD gears, 20mph, 8½lb rig, scaled out.. Handles better on pavement then the Sexo!

I'll be pretty stoked to see what the yeti can do with the Pro4 HD 3000kv, now that I dropped a HD 3500kv in the Sexo.. Love these thing!!!!!

Good info. I personally haven't tried it yet but I'm new to axial's products. Always nice to hear from those who have tried these things out...I would say on 3s with an 18t pinion this thing is going well over 40mph!! I love the YETI . Good job axial!
