I took a cool picture, and then I cracked the rear driveshaft jumping a grass hill. With my truck you don't need lipo cutoff or anything because it never last long enough to use a full battery. Very safe that way.

It appears you have several of the coolest parts ive ever seen on a Yeti..

Please tell me those are two springs attached to the front bumper in some kind of awesome way, and who makes the blue chassis cover/support that looks great! I'm talking about the part that attaches to the steering posts

Did some really fun rocky river bed bashing.
Scraped off about $9 worth of the $18 HR skid plate
Oh well, it looked nice on the shelf, what was I thinking getting that thing?

LOL! Was doing garage donuts, then took it out to the street and bumped a curb low speed and this popped out.

Finally got around to painting my fire extinguisher. Tamiya silver base then tamiya flat red.
Tried to mount my griffin radiator and fans but couldnt find a good spot without drilling through the cage.
Was about to yolo but the battery in my drill was dead lol
Trying to do some scale details i have always wanted. Might go to hardware store for either aluminum or stainless sheets to make my own body panels.
Then it just needs some lights and i will be happy.

Nice shock demo, but can't really see what's going on with trailing arms. What are they?

Ordered ssd centered axle last night. The $30 one. At that price, plus rpp fathers day coupon code, whynot?!
Anything is better than my current stanky leg bent up shafts and loose lockouts anyway.

Also nabbed axial light bucket various style... hopefully got enough lenses to do koh lights from heyok.
Just need a gearhead roof rack with integrated light bar and my lighting needs would be fullfilled.
Someday...

Will update when axle arrives!

I have that axle in my Wraith. It seems to be pretty solid so far.

We shall see how it holds up under a 3s powered yeti lol
I dont use it as a basher but its just naturally self-injurious. Like i said, it loves doing cartwheels haha

Finally yanked out the fuel cell.
Sprayed with testors red, details with tamiya chrome silver and transparent blue (works great for anodized AN fittings!)
Now i just need some nitro fuel line for... a fuel line lol

Got my Baja body cut out. Waiting for paint.

Anybody with this bod have any rubbing issues? I'm going to have to do some cutting front and rear.

Sick!!! I have been seriously tempted to get one of those bodies!
There are a couple vids on youtube. Not sure about rubbing but man that body has tons of potential!
Im also from san diego, where a guy in a giant baja bug (bassically a life sized yeti bug) and tore up the streets ken block gymkhana style. Zero permission from the city or law enforcement. Made the news everywhere.
Do a search for wilkey motosports bug san diego.
enjoy!

Oh, and my stuff arrived from rpp! Axle installation will be done saturday morning, maybe hit some trails saturday afternoon! Woop!

Did lots of googling to figure out what I wanted to do. Found that video you're talking about. Really awesome rig.

Turned out exactly how I wanted. Just need to mount cage and gather the courage to put some scratches on it.

Haha you literally painted yoirs with wilkey inspiration???! Thats the color of his latest build!! Hahaha rad!
You can see vids of it doing wheelies accross a parking lot at LS fest west.
I have a different plan if i ever get this body. Not letting the cat out of the bag haha

Anyway, because thread title...
SSD D60 centered rear installed like a charm. Seriously one of the easiest things i have done to the yeti so far.

Just one problem. Back wheels now spin the opposite direction of the fronts because the gosh darned ring gear is on the wrong side.
Faahhhhhhh...

I love to hate the yeti lol

I got a new to me used rtr yeti with some upgrades in the mail today. I have added 60 wt shock oil to front and 50 wt to rear and charged the new 3s battery that also came in the mail. I have my old slash bug body and think with a little trimming it will work. Will probably paint the driver and passenger and cut the windows out so you can see them. Other than that I don't have many plans other than driving it and having fun with it. I have a few scx10's and wanted something with a little speed.

You're gonna love it!
Bought mine used rtr last year and no regrets! Still upgrading and tinkering.

Nothing to report today. Still need to reverse my front diff to match the ssd rear. Bleh...
