This is a must have for the competitive Sportsman truck and the best use of the original XR-10 gears ever. Brilliant design!

Let me know what you guys think of it.
Yep also a good time for those with spare sets of xr10 gears to sell them off... funny cause I bet many never thought they would be used again, I even heard someone drilled his stock gears and is going well, never would of done that in an xr lol

Cheers
Dan

Sweet give away Dan
I think I like the look of the gear box pictured in the give away more than the final product.
Looks a little easier to put the motor on and off.

Why did you change the design?

Don't get me wrong both are killer products and love my GB from you
Was just wondering that's all

Hey Terry,
I was just looking at this and noticed you used an adapter to mount the smaller motor... Want to be a 1.9 losi tester? I'll need and old motor posted to me along with any input in what you would like to see for it to work... Im offering it to you as you was the first to jump into converting it for the mini, also MRC's are only used as scale rigs here in OZ so there is no need for it here but I'm happy to help out the MRC crowd

Also guys 'n' gals ive updated the first post with more upto date info etc, still need to sore the vid & good pics when time free's up

I just made one of the GB's adapt to an scx10 skid... it works with both skinny and normal.

Also Ti arrived but im still waiting on bearings, i'll start on the outputs while I wait for bearings to show.

A freebie for your scale gear box project:

Make the forward facing housing plate out of delrin instead and make it have sides that cover the gears to protect against the elements. You can loose the nylon stand offs and have them built in to the delrin housing as well. This should make it even more appealing to scale drivers.

This would be great forward mounted in the chassis with a tcase. You could mount it motor down to keep the weight as low as possible over the front axle and your long output would still allow the drive shaft room over the motor.

All revealed in time.. after the next batch I'll likely put these on hold so I can do the release of my scale ones along with some other cool stuff that will be done in limited numbers... just not ready to share pics yet as ive learned in the past the demand starts via PM once the product is shown lol.. so I'll hold off until I'm in position to meet demand :-)

Cheers

Hi guys,
While waiting for bearings to show I had a mate send me his sudu chassis.. there is a rumor getting around that my GB's don't fit.... challenge accepted and won!

Below is a quick adapter I made in about 15min, it allows different mounting positions, can be flipped for rear motor mount or forward mounting, you can even offset the GB! And as you can see my skinny fits :-)

Cheers
Dan
