I can't wait for mine! I would love a pretty blue one too

Built and cradled by JRH himself!

Now I need to decide which rig to drop it in...might pair it with a RX8 just because mmmmm 4s!

Mamba Max Pro.

The original sound seems to be lost. I think my video camera mic went out. I'll put some tunes over it instead.

The motor is actually very quiet. Much less noise than a brushed motor being driven with a typical ESC.

oh john youve answered my prayers!!

my lil bastard build im working on has very limited motor space and a brushed 540 is to long..
i installed a hh revolver 1000kv and it fits its just to slow, not enough wheelspeed.

i think the 3000kv would be just what i need.
lmk if you have one,id be more than happy to try it out or buy it.

awesome work!

The motor shown in the vid is 12 slot 8 pole, a fast version that may or may not see production. Pending some feedback on whether it is good enough.

The motors listed on my site are 12 slot 14 pole. I should have the first 50 units of beta run by May, Possibly sooner. I wanted to ensure everything was right before we do the first full production run.

There are three lengths of Revolver S. Stubby, 540, and TorqueMonster. Stubby is shortest, TorqueMonster is longest. Specs are all on my site. Holmes Hobbies / Holmes Bikes :: Motors :: Brushless Outrunners

I was hoping the video focused more on low speed resolution, not wheel speed on 6s.

Can we get some footage showing the startup on 3s? If I put one in my shafty super it'll be on 3s.

There are a few segments showing low speed ability. Startup is actually the same on 3s and 6s with the 8 mag motor, it is limited by the motor and not the ESCs currently. If you want smooth, you want 14 magnet. I will built up one in 2000kv shortly and get some vids that show the low end more. I was having a hard time filming and keeping my finger from being too twitchy.

TorqueMonster has 280% more torque than Stubby.

Excellent.

Also looking forward to some low speed resolution vid. Not meant to be derogatory, I just love motor porn. Especially the only of its kind in existence.

Absolutely no offenses taken, if you want something more specific then just tell me! Maybe some simple vids of the 8 magnet going up to a wall?

Some tech from the run the other day- 50 minutes hard bash crawling (as seen in the vid) max motor temp 110f. 8 minutes full blast grass running, max motor temp 160f. I'm going to recharge the battery and see how much it took. Cells were 1300mah and didn't show signs of sagging after an hour. Efficient? Seems so!
