The timing is fixed at 0* like our 1/8 T8 motors and the Pro4 motors. You can reverse the direction on the ESC and run either way with no decrease in performance. I meant timing as in advance on the ESC, a little is ok but they do not respond to timing like 2-pole motors do. You can maybe squeak 15-200 rpm out of them, but it comes with added heat. After that the timing really is useless. Trust me guys, you won't want or care about timing advance with these. |

Agreed, timing isn't important at all. Just volt up or gear up for more speed.

The common type of inrunners have 2-pole magnet rotors and three electromagnets on the can? This motor has 4-pole magnets on the rotor and twelve electromagnets on the can? Assuming there are four times more electromagnets a somewhat simplified way to compare timing would be to quadruple it. I.e. 5 degrees on ROC 412 compares to about 20 degrees on a regular Redline RS. How close to the truth am I? | |

Ty--I have a LCC using 3s-1800 25c 11.1 packs. Am leaning towards a 18 or 2300. I know you have done some testing with the Losi worms. Your thoughts on both and recommended pinion range. Also any idea when the Hot Wire specs for this series will be released. Thanks JimRK

Are these "less torquey" than the pro4? I notice the ROC 412 has a 3mm shaft and the Pro4 uses a 5mm shaft so just curious as to why they are different. thanks!! (fyi I'll be buying one or the other soon so I'm trying to figure out which would be best for an 11lb crawler that I'd like to use to crawl and also "southern style" hill climb). |

No I think there's more torque to be honest. The 3mm or 1/8" shaft is typical 540 standard allowing for it to drop in and using existing pinions.

Compared to a plain ol worn out 13.5t redline, how much smoother will these be on the low end (Like just barely pulling the throttle)...when theres a good load on em

I called quite a few places and Stormer Hobbies is the only one that has it in stock. They are out of the 2300kv motor but have the other three. They also have the best price compared to everyone else that I called (that was planning on stocking them).

Any chance that the Pro4 rotors will fit in these? I want the 2300kv but with a 5mm shaft instead of the 1/8.
