Here are a some of the shots. The motor is a pretty much new design. Lots of work went into it. Main goals were to removed the problems we see with current motors (endbells coming loose, brush hoods massively exposed to the rocks, etc) and get the costs down.....succeeded on both.

Motors will be available in regular and lightweight versions....Genesis (conventional size 540 armature) and Nexus (stubby size armature) will both have cobalt magnets. Got the weights down as well, even on the regular version, along with a lower profile.

Waiting on magnets and cans at this point, but we are looking around the end of the month....

They will be on the site tonight or tomorrow for preorder....should ship around the first of the year....I had to redo an endbell part, so just waiting on those from the machinist.

I've been running the first production sample in my 2.2s for about 2 weeks now, everything I wanted and more.....

Some new things we are working on

Team Brood will be offering Anodizing for Aluminum and Titanium here shortly, which will also allow for us to make some motor parts in custom colors. Here are some samples we did of custom colored heatsinks.

Next up is our new comm caps, which are the first of their kind on an rc armature.. These CNC machined anodized aluminum units help prevent the top comm from spreading apart under stressful loads, while also acting as a heatsink. Currently only available on 7.5mm but 9mm and 10mm will be available soon as well...

Few more new products to show off in the next few days, including our new Adamant Commutators and Endbell Protectors...

There's a funny smoke joke in there.

And that's no excuse. Need more practice.

Guess who's beating on an Adamant commutator in a Losi?

This guy.

It's another 35 turn arm to add to my collection. I'm using a standard copper laydown brush, a Reedy 767 I think, in a 4 mag can and pretty much find everything to work quite nicely. Geared somewhat conservatively, but the same as the other motors I use in the truck.

I'm an avid comm cutter and I would have already cut the comm again, usually. I'd run three courses (and a final ) and cut comms and they were... how do I say not in need, but showing wear. So a quick skim if ya nah what I mean. This one is gonna get some use before I pull it out because Eddie's got a trick up his sleeve.

New tech....sorta. Scaler guys keep destroying motors....most of it traced back to crap getting into the endbell so easily. While this isn't 100%, it does prevent most...I have tested to make sure no heat problems or the like....nothing, so I made the finished version.

Will be available as a kit and on new motors.

When you are testing motors what esc are you using? What esc do you recommend most for running your motors?

I typically use Tekin FXRs in my rigs.....but I have used the castle products before as well, along with the Holmes units. They all work well for the money, but it just depends on the application along with what you are trying to accomplish with the rig itself.
