I've had this ESC for months now. My friends made fun of me for buying a cheap ESC now their expensive ones are blowing up and the HW is chugging along!

On the newer 1060 60A if you remove the jumper used for FWD/BRK/REV, You'll get FWD/REV with drag brake. I can post up a video if needed.

I believe Axial uses HW esc(s) in their newer RTRs

I bought the dynamite 60a before I knew about the hobbywing. Bought a hobby wing a few weeks ago and it's nearly identical to the dynamite for about half the price. Great budget esc for the brushed crowd

This one is not the quicrun 1060, but the ezrun 1040. It got 40a instead of 60a and has I bigger footprint. The 1040 is the same as the Axial AE-5 but different programming. And the 1060 is the same as the Ascender and Venture rtr esc, again with different programming, at least for the Venture
In the end all very similar esc's, all with 6v linear bec, so external bec will do all good. You could probably run a bit higher turn motor on the 1060, but usual crawler motors around 35t more, both will do just fine on both 2 and 3s

I just got 3 quicrun 1060s. One for an scx10 and the other 2 for my berg. They seem pretty good on both 2 and 3 cell lipos. I do wish the drag brake was stronger but thats prob asking a lot from a $20 esc. It does work, just not quite strong enough to hold the 2.2s on the berg from moving.
