Already has a sealed case that is normally enough, but I like to go that extra mile.

41x20x40mm (standard size) and 73 grams average.

The ratio is a little taller than the HV400, so the peak torque is lower while speed is higher. But the gearsets actually survive at these torque levels, so the rename to HV500 is certainly more accurate in regards to what it handles. We are working on a gearset with more reduction, but it will take a lot of testing to find if they can hold up as well.

The good news is that the pcbs were factory coated. The regular news is that it's what I expected, too thin to reeeeeeeally trust if substantial water gets into the case. We will continue to work on the improvement of this. The case seals are indeed solid, and the orings can be supplimented with sensor safe rtv sealant. I will have to review our ability to affordably improve the pbc waterproofing, as full disassembly isn't easy.

So they are still far better than the hv400 waterproofing , will take a dunk and certainly take splashes. I've sunken test subjects with no problems and no pcb coating. But to call them waterproof and ready for 5 + minutes in a mud hole is to be determined. Maybe I'm overly picky about levels of waterproofing, but I know the levels of hell that you guys will take it if given the go ahead.

Roo would still like one for his Yeti build. He promises not to give Yeti extended mud baths.

I too would welcome the opportunity to have my 7950 run backup to a new HH.
When, oh when will these be available?
Please and thank you!

I would like to have them on the site tomorrow, but Justin will need to account for our wait list and remaining warranty replacements. Only got 100 on this shipment. But I'm ramping inventory with the next purchase (made today, 300pc) so hopefully we will just have some minor out of stock period in between batch one and two and then keep stock on the regular.

Nope, tool steel and 7075. I have learned there is no such thing as solid Ti gears, every name brand with Ti gears is actually plated aluminum or brass. At any rate, it's not a good gear material.

Good news, I'll be getting by warranty replacement back. I've been waiting patiently.

Ok. I see there up on the site, are they ready and getting shipped as well?

These are going to be a lot better then the 400 right? I want to order one right now but kinda hesitate if they will be any trouble like the 400s.

I wouldn't waste my time with something that wasn't far better than the HV400. The HV500 isn't enabled on the site yet. We are shipping out the few warranties today and will enable them for sale in a few hours.

I still have them hidden. But, in the few hours we had a live link for customers on the wait/replace list and almost half has been sold, so I wanted to share the link here for yall RCC troopers before it went to social media and flatlined the inventory. It looks like my hopes of keeping them for a few weeks won't happen. Had to bump the price up some, as costs are higher than the HV400 and I didn't really consider hobby shops and distributors yesterday.

We will get photos and more fluffy wordy specs up asap.
