Waiting on machinist for updates on my tubes and cases.
I have been meaning to ask you how it was going with those. I am going to start a build soon and was going to get clover tubes and grind down stock gear boxes for lack of another choice. I liked the case pic's you posted.

I am in no major hurry so is this something that will be out reasonably soon? Also are your axle's going to use Axial C's Knuckles and lockouts? 300 CVD's ETC...

Well I got it set for when I get a cap tomorrow.

Used a nylon spacer on one of the posts to even the spacing. We'll see how temps go this weekend.

Once soldered the top speed control is very rigid.

According to the scale I saved 10 grams of weight, it wasn't my goal to save weight but is nice to get belly weight out.

The profile is shorter then a quarter, I'd say just a CU taller then a normal speedo.

Nice Will, I tried the same exact thing and was planning on putting them both in a FXR Pro case, they are quite a bit taller. Can you still get to the buttons on the lower one if you need to?

Minus the new capacitor, it's just a tad taller, no wider, then a stock FXR box!

Sorry for the lame cell pics

Had a few requests for better pictures. Here you go! Smaller footprint then a stock case and just a tad taller. Only downfall is the exposed ESC boards. But I think I'm fine.

Looks great.
Yep, just get some clear Racer's Edge battery heat shrink. I use it for my paired/uncased mamba micros. There are others but here's some. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...25-wide-2-long

I soldered in the CC BEC, heat shrunk the esc's, shortened all the wires and got the skid plate ready to be re-installed.

I plugged the escs in, got alittle tiny tiny bit of smoke near the solder joint on the on/off switch, but I'm pretty sure all is good, the programmed fine and both run the motors. Practice will tell me how they last lol.
