Before you drill and tap the delrin, if there is space available, insert a metal sleeve into the axle allowing 0.020" around the shaft. This will act as a "nut" on your screws after drilling and tapping.

Caster in the low 20's should work.

I got things wired up today. For some weird reason the electronics will run for about 3 seconds at wide open throttle then stop, then run another 3 seconds then stop, and will repeat this cycle over and over. Go figure?

Turns out my electrical problem was a bad servo that fried the receiver too. Made up some body panels while waiting on a new receiver.

Not to far. I'm waiting on a receiver and I need to buy a servo. Then get LOTS of practice.

Did a little more body work this weekend.

Hood scoops and the signature roadster truck bed and back windows.. Can't wait to see this on Thursday!

Have to buy a servo... Getting awfully close to D day to set up steering aren't ya!?
Luckily, is pretty simple with these axles

Thanks everyone. It's to late to order a servo before worlds, and I'm still in debate about if I will run this rig in worlds with the servo from my other rig, or just run the other rig.

Ran the Mutt at worlds. Had a few problems with battery connectors and the servo falling off. Still managed to come in 20Th. For me that's more than good. I'm happy with my new rig and feel like it will get better from here.

Great job Karl...... That - 49 course should have been a huge boost for your confidence. I could see it all over your face when you told me. I just wish you hadn't had electronic gremlins to mess up the day. I hope the bugs are worked out now and it serves you well. Keep in touch fella and safe travels home
