Here's a few pics...sorry for the delay. The action pics are of one of the test rigs out for another bash session, and the clean pics are of my 13.5r using my medium shock tower/link setup.

That is by far the most unique chassis I have ever seen. I almost don't even know what I'm looking at. Do the electronics is on one side and the batteries on the other, touring car style?

What's the rtr weight? Also, the 2 of 2 rig is gonna have a longer WB right? Is this attained simply through longer links, or is it a different chassis altogether?

Regardless, if this works half as well as my sss-R, I may have to sell my FOFF so I can buy one of these.

That's a great design! Now I'm rethinking the SCX10 / Summit tranny route that I'm headed on mine.

Summit trans is definitely an unneeded item on an FOFF. Too heavy and only high gear would be needed.

Damnit Don, you know I'm gonna have to have one of these.

Been looking for something to stick the Castle 5700kv system in.... I'm thinking some Pro-Line Trac-Ta-Gators for offroad running, and paddles for sand and mud.

I miss my old TTG's.

That's a dope picutre.

But we need more specs on this chassis. This is worse than Associated with their shut lips on the Stealth cars back at the IFMAR 1/10 buggy Worlds in Detroit.

WOW!!!!

that looks like a truggy with solid axles!!!!

so any chance this chassis would work with longer shocks and 40-ish size wheels and tires for a big "Mad Force" like monster truck??

Well, in his description, Don states that this particular truck uses his medium shock and link setup

Thanks buddy...as I said earlier in this thread...it's a pretty unique setup. As stated, I've been playing with the design of this beast for quite a while...and it has come a long way. Battery sits right next to the trans...and depending on your electronics there are a few spots on the motor side for mounting. The video rig weighs in at just over 4.5 lbs. One of the main goals of this chassis was to suit multiple driving style types/setup preferences. That being the case, it is set up to easily set your wheelbase from 12.5-14.5" in half inch increments by simply changing shock towers and links. That being the case, the preferred setup is 3.5" shocks front and rear...and the shock towers are designed around that. This setup also utilitizes equal length upper and lowers.

Don't put the cart before the horse just yet...I've already been in contact with my buddy Rick over at supershafty.com and I have a stretched version coming out right behind this one for TF axles and big tires! Main difference will just be a stretched skid and upper brace.

1/4" thick and machined out for weight reduction. The skid is machined from 5/16" delrin and is also machined out. The trans is also dropped into the skid a bit.
