Never heard of them. I put an order in when I saw it on their site. Greg emailed me right away to say that they were out of stock til the end of the month. I'm keeping my order open with them for now. Last edited by OzarkCrawler; 03-02-2018 at 10:52 PM. | |

| Re: Coming soon .....GMADE GOM-GR1 Rock Buggy I ordered a set of wheels when they were out of stock everywhere else, turns out Active powersports was also out but didn't indicate that on the product page. After RC4wd had them in stock for a few weeks and they still didn't restock I asked for a refund which I did receive. But yeah I dont really like the way they do things.

Last night I tested out the new 12mm long axle pins, so far so good. I repeated what I had done originally to snap the pin, putting it in dig on very coarse/grippy cement and dragging the rear around while turning. It held up to it so far, though it was wet and I was a bit timid and didn't quite give it full throttle while doing that torture test, I wanted it to stay together for the weekend. But mentally I feel like I dont have to baby it anymore, but we'll see.

These snapped in exactly the same place as last time...slowly crawling over a log. My 12mm pins haven't arrived yet so Im a bit stuck. I've put another 11.4mm in and this time added some glue in there. I've fired off an email to both Junfac(pins) and RCmart(CVAs). RCmart are usually pretty good, but Junfac went quiet on me after I said that the 11.4mm was too small. I did however purchase the pins on paypal, so I've raised a dispute, yes its only £4 but hopefully this will make them take a bit of notice ! Mine had seemed really good so I was hoping it was the cup... Im now on brushless but I havent even had chance to pull the trigger as I was just crawling. |

Well I've just put through 5000mah 3S brushless through with a glued 11.4mm pin....no breakage.....gave it a bit of stick on some hill climbs. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Yesterday I decided to put the Gom through my torture test that snapped this pin in a few seconds (with the stock CVA's). Full throttle (on 3S), full lock, dig engaged on very coarse and grippy piece of cement, dragging the rig around 180*. I did this three times without any of the new 12mm long pins snapping. I also drove around like an idiot, bashing and rock bouncing and that didn't lead to anything breaking either. I'm pretty satisfied that the longer 12mm pins are stronger than stock and a worthwhile upgrade. Though it is still early on, its possible things may change, but so far so good. And on the subject of glue, I did not glue the 12mm pin in, I glued the retaining ring in place with CA. But if you have the stock 11.4 length pins like thewildblue77, gluing in the pin so its not moving isn't a bad idea just be careful not to coat any moving parts. |

I still dont have 100% confidence in the pin, so once my 12mm's arrive I will fit them. I will then also fit a set of CVAs in my son's GOM as well.

When assembling the differentials, is it supposed to have some resistance? The gears are meshed nicely and there is no noise, it just doesn't spin maybe as easily as I thought.

| Re: Coming soon .....GMADE GOM-GR1 Rock Buggy I found on my build and my brothers that it was a bit tight. I chucked up the input on the axles in a cordless drill and spun them up a few times, it helped to seat the gears and felt a lot smoother after.

Well I've had an answer back from Junfac....here it is... Hello, James Thanks for your details of your explanation. I have spoken with the develop team with this issue, and they have explain me some tips to use of this CVA pin. The reason of the pin broke is the ring has a bit of a low tension so when the cva is in steering the pin can move out because of low tension of the ring, to hold the tight there is few tips we can share. Gluing 1. Clean the assembled CVA before you grease the CVA. 2. After all assembled and cleaning done, drop a bit of a CA glue to the ring at the point of 6 and 12 o'clock. 3. Grease the CVA Shrink Tube 1. Need size to cover over 13Ø to cover the CVA. 2. Cut the shrink tube size to 5~6mm(0.24inch) thick 3. Heat the shrink tube till tighten the CVA pin spot* * There is two way's you can try and we suggest you the second way using shrink tube. We will send you replacement pin again so you can replace them again. Hope you have nice day. Thank you, Best Regards. JunFac Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

I have replied to Junfac, requesting that they send me some heat shrink. And I also suggested they supply heatshrink and amend the instructions on the CVAs themselves. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Heatshrinked and greased...these are on 11.4mm and going into to my son's GOM. The 12mm still haven't arrived so let's see how these hold up. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |
