my old set up was on top of axle.ctg really improved when i sunk it in the tube.you can actually see the improvement when climbing and sidehilling.

put battery on front skid today what a difference getting rid of rear axle battery tray.heres some pics of rear axle with ckrc 6mm axle shaft mod.

i guess its hard for me to understand that that would make that big of difference when crawling. not saying it doesnt its just hard for me to understand it

Nice job on the steering! Did you have to mod the motor mounts or did just cutting the tube make enough room for the servo to fit?

hey kratos, glad to see you took my advice. Now all you have to do is wait until it get about 26 pages long, then ask an admin for you own tech section. Thats how the redcat guys did it.

yes i did have to mod motor mounts.pretty easy though.

Do you have any pictures of that? Did you slot the both mounts a little longer or redrill a new hole like on the bergs?

i had to slotone of the mounting holes more and drill a new hole on the other. it's pretty much the same as the bergs.i just finished the 86jeep mod on my buddies berg and they are real similar.so far ive done 2 of these mods and they go pretty smooth.i'll try and get pics up of my motor mounting .

glad we have a column going too..........it's cool to see who is running HR's. I know there is only 2 of us in my club....

all my buddy's have berg's or bully's.but as far as the club i think that there is about 4 h/r's.ive gotten rid of 1 bully and 3 berg's but not the h/r's.

i'll trade my hr's for another set of berg's!
only cuz i have a crapload of parts for berg's!
nah really though we ran hr's for a long time! loved em!
especially after you do the mods to em!
all axial wheels will fit em and not pricey!

I do pretty good with my HR's also. I took and modded ckrc bta for bergs and it works well. I am poor right now or I would have 300's and crazy steering!

i busted a berg shaft at motorama 5 min into practice,had cash foronce and super dave had HR super 300s with him..........what was a guy to do? best purchase i have mae for sure!

well im sorry to hear that. hopefully your not out too long. hey all what does everyone use for there upper 4 link mount on the axles. im just wondering what to make some new ones out of so i can raise the links a little bit
