I'm assuming an envelope with a picture of this.

Inside, I found two 18650 Li-Ion batteries.
Quite common with lesser brands from Asia at the moment it seems.
Perhaps because they’re safer?
Got exactly the same lil 1500mah battery in my 1:16 twin hammers clone.

Lipo can not be air shipped as cargo internationally, Li-ions can. It may be just because of shipping regulations.

Then it would have been tagged as Li-Ion, don't expect customs to open the battery to check its content. A Li-Ion battery inside a Li-Po container is just scam.

Well my $20 purchase is out for delivery, unfortunately it is being delivered to a address in Texas and well I'm in NY.

Update, It was delivered to someone in Texas, really wish I knew what they ended up receiving. Ebay says I will receive a refund in 3 days. Oh well, was really hoping for a rock!

I wouldn’t call it a scam.
It’s a 1500mah 15c battery, just like the advert said.

Lithium Ion
Vs
Lithium Ion Polymer
Same chemistry, different storage medium

If the cells were higher C I’d be stoked as it’s nice and small

Mine ended up in MI and I'm in WA. Just started the refund process. It was worth a shot.

The one that I'm hoping is real isn't even in transit yet.

I wonder if that was their scam? Send the same one or two tracking numbers to a bunch of buyers?

You may get a message from the seller stating it was "Delivered". Then also another message that says to find it through the Post Office. Ya that would go far with them! Looks like they are fighting the refunds. I'll see on Friday.

Update- Refund from Ebay Received , Reason- Seller could not supply proper tracking number.

Ebay and Paypall refused my refund. Ebay says go to Paypall and Paypall refused without giving a reason. I asked both to look into it again.

Just called Paypall, they reopend my refund case, now have to wait again for 10-30 days to see if I get a refund.

What was their first reason not to give you a refund? Did you receive anything or have a tracking number?

Just checked my e-mail. I got a full refund from E-bay. Hope you guys get yours resolved.

Edit: I just checked the details. I got the same "Call your post office," reply. I then replied by calling the seller out as a scammer. He then opened a case against me. I won. He had no valid tracking information.

Paypal did not give me a reason for rejecting my refund. But they reopened the case after I called them, so we will see.

Ebay is unwilling to help me, keep refurring to contact Paypal. Ebay did however now confirm it was them that closed the add and the sellers account. The thing with not helping me out is that they look at the tracking number. They see it is delivered in my country, it's just not delivered to me! Same as others in this topic.
It is somewhere out there if it even is really delivered. Or even something is shipped. Ebay says I have to contact China Post now.

Don't like the fact that is is Ebay that closed the sellers account and now not helping customers of this seller to get a refund.

Maybe there are different laws in your country and E-bay and or Pay-Pal is using them to get around giving you a refund.

Does anyone with this truck have any thoughts about swapping the transmission into another truck like a Trailfinder or SCX10? I'm just wondering if it would make sense dimensionally or if there is some obvious reason why it wouldn't fit.

The motor rides high relative to the transmission. There are much better options

Better options with 3 speeds and selectable 2WD/4WD?

Edit: before anyone gets cranky, I'm not suggesting this would be a good idea for reasons of performance or scale. It's mostly about novelty and because the parts are readily available now.

in that case go for it. I have not actually looked to see if i would e a good option for the scx10, just sitting here looking at it hanging way below the chassis and the motor sitting mostly above the chassis
