Bought mine at ebay, from Protoys_hobbies. However when i got the package, a businesscard of toucan hobby was inside. So Protoys_hobbies is the same as Toucan.

Just one advice about the stickers. If you paste them you can peel the plastic foil of and the decal stays on the vehicle.

I used different kind of methods . Used Oven/microwave cleaner, dishwasher and bleach. Think oven cleaner worked best.

Well, while checking out youtube, seems like ampro came out with a first test run video, he talks about not being able to lock diffs, but in this thread Wesley talked about a locking pin and the manual says that is a locking diff pin like the hilift, anybody has had success locking the diffs?

The manual says it should be possible. I do not feel the need right now to get in to it. As i think you have to remove the axle otherwise you cannot see quit clear if the set screw lines up with the diff. I drove it stock and like how it drives. Yes hillclimb without diff lock is a no go. But just light offroading is fun enough for me for now. I had one small issue. After driving i found out it sometimes jumps out of gear when shifting. I use my dx4s with it so tried to set end points. That didnt helped so i openend cover. The servosaver is a bit loose. So i put a drop of ca glue between servo saver. Also used a bit longer screw to mount the servo saver. Shifts perfect now. Also i found out the drive shafts set screw is very stuck. They are locktided. I hope they used blue and not red. Think you will have to heat them so locktide melts. Verstuurd vanaf mijn G3221 met Tapatalk |

I wouldnt be at all concerned about the loctite. Just put the tip of a soldering iron on it. Doesn't matter the color, you can get it hot enough to come free without damaging anything else.

Every fiber of my being tells me that these are the end result of everything wrong with the world. But then I think about how much fun the equivalent of a 'rental-car with the damage waiver in bruiser form' would be and I just can't hate it.

| Re: Knockoff Tamiya mountaineer coming soon on this May Especially with the way Tamiya is acting raising their prices in times when there are a bunch of newcomers with new models and they have remained stagnant, i will always have a soft spot for tamiya and kyosho, but you can't beat this brusier clone deal imho. ( still have my og hilux btw) |
