I tried lowering the mAH setting on my charger, but it still detected no battery.

Suggestions?
Send it in, my addy is right above your post.

I'd buy 2 today if you had them.
A batch was produced last week, I am waiting for the final touches.

Good question, I need to contact the factory on them. Should be ready very soon now, I have a few hundred packs on the way.

did one comp (two courses) and heard a funny noise coming from crawler, upon further investigation i found that the armature is spinning inside of the end bearing on the wire side of the motor, at low and high rpm's it spins freely inside of the bearing, literally grinding on the innermost ring of the bearing, causing alot of heat buildup fast, i tried to lubricate and it hasnt helped....
in the comp the dx3s said it never got above 150*f...
what can i do to fix this? do i need to send to you? is the arm or the bearing at fault? smaller bearing? thanks for your time.
So there is play around the bearing? Sounds like the armature wasn't seated properly. I would push the opposite end with a wooden stick to see if it will seat, then tighten the endbell per my motor care thread at the top of this forum. If you cant figure it out just send it my way, addy about four posts up.

Default repair

jrh, i am sending the cobalt 10 turn to you, 2-3 day mail tomorrow, i attempted to repair/ re-seat the bearing, but was unsuccessful, i also noticed a vibration in the motor, I am not sure if i caused these damages, i forgot to inspect the motor before installing. I would be more than glad to pay for all repairs, parts etc.

thanks for all of the great support / pr.

Hi
You said the 10t cobalt is the strongest in is class" what other class is there ?

So If I want to stay with mambamax, Is the 10t cobalt motor the only option for my single motor 11lb. Super on 3s ?

Do you have any 10cobalts left ?how much time to I have left to get one or will there other motors made ?

will it be safe to use in a rc4wd 2 speed tranny ?

Thanks

Right now it will be stick programming, but USB programming will be available shortly.

I haven't used the R1 systems. I would assume that the low end throttle is the same as the other tekin units, but that may be a false assumption.

Not yet, no preorders.

From: John Robert Holmes
It is a 550 sized brushed motor. It is stronger than any other 540 or 550 brushed motor available.

I think the 10t will be your best bet for 3s lipo use. I have them in stock on the site, but only have a bit more than 100 cans left for building them and about 50 10t armatures left. Once they are gone that will be it.

The R2 two speed is ok if you are careful. If they have an HD version you will want that, otherwise the weight of the super may destroy the tranny.

It may be a few months on the mini motors, my original manufacturer has decided to stop answering my phone calls and emails.

Seems to run fine to me. There is no play in the bearings other than the normal in/out play of the armature in the can. There is some vibration, but this is normal when using an ESC. Especially at half throttle. Not sure what problems you were having really.

Gear as low as possible. Non sensored setups will not be as smooth as a brushed or sensored motor. Be sure your startup power is at high, timing is at low, and that your throttle endpoints are properly programmed.

MM should be fine for that use... 3S or above though a MM likes an external BEC which makes the MMM at $100 a more attractive option if you are buying an ESC from scratch.

John is the HH Mini for the MRC ok on 3s?

Quick question:

Just got hold of a Puller 500. It's on a 5.9lb Axial based rig with and R2D, Mamba Max and 3s with a 9 tooth pinion.

It seems to run a little hot...should I go to a 12 tooth pinion or will that make it run hotter? Running a tall tire also...Rovers.

Really like the Puller 500 on my light rig!

Upping the pinion would make it run hotter. The 3s lipo is why it runs hot.
