gary from what i saw, if you used half the throttle 90% of the time you would do better. i improved my driving a ton by adjusting my throttle expo to have a much more forgiving throttle curve on the bottom end. did gary tell anybody he drove his c2 off a 10' cliff? i also saw sczerba accidentally launch his c3 off about a 20' cliff and i shrieked like a little girl. courses were neat, but absolutely brutal. to make time (6 mins/10 gates) you really had to be fast. i chose to just forget at all it was a comp and just try to get through as many gates i could before timing and pointing out, and more times than not i was relieved when the judge said i was done. ;) |

I get out and crawl at least two times week. Once is always on my way home from work. Busse is right on the way. Then I get out into the back yard. Sometimes hit the roselle trail too. Trenton "MG200" has been this way for a few years. He is also the reason the rules have changed more and more. He is the king of the gray line legal. Lol

trenton can also drive... i saw alot of what i consider to be cheater rigs and all the guys running them knew how to drive. if i was gonna get serious into scale comps, id be building new trucks that push the rules as far as possible. |

Push every rule to the max to make a truck that has a change at winning. Build a truly scale rig and drive it to have fun. but know your not threre to win Third build a rig that can a compete with but is still as close to scale as you can but still crawls great. Alot of guys that bud these comp scale rigs where at one time comp drivers. Thats where this pushing the rulea come from. No one is cheating. Just shearch for gray spots in the rules to take and push to the max...

"At some point in every racer's life he has to make his peace with cheating. I do not approve of cheating ... at all. Of course, like every successful racer, I differentiate between taking advantage of loopholes in the regulations, stretching the grey areas and outright cheating. In any given racing series I will not start the cheating. If someone else starts it, I will appeal to them and to the officials to stop it. If my efforts do not succeed, then I'll show them how it is done ...." -- Carroll Smith, Drive to Win |

U4RC 1.9 vs 2.2 soild axle ? thinking 1.9 would be cool for g6 type stuff also ...i have some research to do....i also have xr width axles waiting so I'm not sure where that would fit best under ? 1.9 might work? |

Yeah, I think I'm pretty much done. I have no plans on finishing Hera or the other 3 new rigs I started this season anytime soon... maybe over the winter. I'll probably still go to the lakefront with Melons but other than that... I doubt it. |

| Re: NIRC. Chit Chat Yeah sounds good. Maybe we could just do like a Saturday evening thing, meet in rosemont at the Hofbrau House and eat and drink some cold beers? It doesn't have to be a toy truck GTG. I bet ol Ricky-poo would drive down and meet us. I haven't seen that guy in a while. He might not be the only one interested in beers and brats, heck any NIRC folks could come and chill for a bit. Whatcha thinks? |

My house is 49 miles from Evanston according to google maps. I was trying to think of something between us.
