Ha! Nice, you got room for me to be included in there with the "as well"? I'm not sure what's you'd call mine though, since it's not a kit. This is going to be a really cool class. I'm excited to see the rigs!

Yeah.. this thread is for everyone with a Class1 truck or people that are interested in Class1.

The kit is super easy to build.. it took me about an hour to go from this:

to this:

I'm going to leave it alone for now and look into what kind of different leaf springs to order and a shift servo.

why not try the leafs that came with the kit?

i would assume they are the same sizer as tamiya leafs, and i would also assume the tamiya leafs are superior.

The springs that come with it are pretty decent. How you configure them is based on how you set it all up but to start, I would go with the main spring and the small helper. You may end up removing the helper on all but the right front corner when it is all said and done.

I would caution you on the RC4WD Red Leafs as they are way too soft and on any form of delrin springs. The Chino Military are nice if there is enough weight to make them work.

I wonder if anybody in the club has a D90 or D110 body?

the springs get better/softer/flexier with use. just like fullsized rigs.

red rc4wd springs do suck. i got a bunch of delrin springs somewhere...

Never mind, a D90 is too short and a D110 is $250 for the body.

Ok..got some more work done on mine.

I did the youngversion receiver box relocation mod and my a little carbon fiber plate to have my ESC mounted on.

I installed my Brood Apocalypse HHK R/T 35t as well as a Hitec 5646mg servo for steering and a Futaba shift servo. all of which I had laying around.

I got the axles mounted up. I didn't see your guys leaf info before I did it so, I mounted all 4 corners with no helpers. I'll see what its like and the tune it from there.

I dont know what I'm going to do about tires yet.. is anyone going to run the stockers? I like the look of a 3.75" tire under this truck but, I can go up to 4.19" right? I dont know.

I dont know if Im going to use this body or not yet but.. here it is.
Its a much shorter wheelbase and smaller wheel arches. The tires pictured are just a tad smaller than the 1.55 mud thrashers it comes with.

I have a shell on mine so I am going with the stock body other than that I may See if I can do a split bed/cab mod like on mr red hilux.

You could do a Bob and make a twin bar roll bar like a lot of people ran in the 80s yotas.

The biggest issue I have with the body os the drop bed is too shallow, but it is because of the design, so I may have to live with it.

You should add a rear seat in the black body. It will fix you wheel base.

I dont think I have what it takes to do custom body stuff like that. I never even touched a piece of styrene before. If I use that body, ill shorten the wheelbase.
Yea, ill probably not use that ford body.

Im also going to add 1 helper in the fron because the shackle angle is way wrong because its front heavy.

Really cool kit though.. Super easy to assemble. Looks like quality.
