Go Revo shaft and forget about it. Cheap, readily available, and indestructible

not...

i am sure they are indestructible on cralwler speeds but not at 30-40 mph running a whole rear axle.

my 2650 Mamba Monster system ate them in about 5 minutes each. the metal pins got so hot it make my skin sizzle when i touched it and instant blister. pretty much branded my index finger.

this is why i was going punisher shaft route.

video to demonstrate.

there are 3 videos in my account there.

Hello fellow Force addicts. Can't believe I'm just discovering these awesome axles. . I've got a twin roller on the way and some big ideas.

Curious what most are running for knuckles? Are the stock pretty durable? I'm debating these steel ones posted earlier, ot the alum rc4wd that are on sale.

the RC4WD ones are way beefy compared to the steel ones you posted, and I believe the rc4wd ones will take a bigger screw through the rod end.

3mm for the steering linkages. there are three holes. i have a set of these, and i don't think you will find a beerier one.

with buggy knuckles you will run into caster/camber angles that the rc4wd ones won't have.

will these work on the short end for stock?

its says 125 end to end. but not what the actual bone length is.

http://store02.prostores.com/servlet...HYPER-7/Detail

looks like they are 5mm longer than these ones

hey guys, OFNA part # OL5 120mm universal shaft works perfectly on the short side. just picked up 4 for my super

they say they are for the Ravager 9.5.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSUP2

i def got a deal on these too, dont pay attention to that price, you should be able to find them cheaper on ebay. like i got all 4 for $30 shipped.

Hello all, 1st post here. I was wondering if any of you know which 13T pinion gear might work with the older 1/8 inferno/Burns/USA-1 Nitro Crusher series diff gear. I bought the hardened steel BSW-2, but unable to find BSW-1.

The only one that has the same dimensions.
HOT BODIES C8030 BEVEL PINION GEAR 13T LIGHTNING 1 & 2

Spec's Lenght 28 mm 8 mm shaft, same as the stock. I'm thinking of ordering these and see if the might fit.

But I was hoping someone here can tell me before I do.

I believe the majority of the 1/8 gears out there will work. The only difference I see is the spiral cut versus the straight cut.

Default bulletproof

has anyone looked at the hpi bulletproof diffs for the savage flux
they have a different tooth count
not sure what that would do in a crawler
but they look good
same mounting requirments as any 1/8 scale diff
the teeth look bigger=stronger

I have the bp diffs in my savage and man they take a beating. 29/9 vs the stock 43/13 tooth count. And iirc the stockers barely fit in the mad/twin force housings if at all. The bp diffs are a tiny bit bigger. Try it and let us know

Are some of the pinions un-drillable? I've drilled a couple stock pinions no problem to support the cross pin on a revo yoke. However, I have some ofna diffs and there is no way I'm drilling these bad boys. Will just a set screw on the flat work or is there a trick. I tried dremeling off the surface finish.

Haven't seen this mentioned so... if you're running an open diff, adding more spider gears seems like a no-brainer. Just get more gears and shafts (#97001 or BS107 for the shafts). Think it's still a worthwhile upgrade if you're locking the diff with hotglue or jbweld?

I'm also wondering do the Ofna CVD's increase the track width at all?

i tried many times to drill my strr 10t pinions, and barely dented them. you won't ever touch it unless you are a talented machinist from what i can tell.
