Now to do some body work...

Lop off some styrene to work with...

Do some whittling with the Bowie knife to fit it to shape...

With the transfer case now in it's place I can now glue the floor hump back in place.

Yep! Gotta stretch those hamstrings every now and then...

Did some more body work on the transom. Got it pieced together...

Looks like it's going to work out nicely.

Now to cover up where the frame intrudes into the floor.

So far so good... it'll need putty to make it smooth but for now it's getting there...

I'll hit it with a light coat of paint to see how it's looking before sanding it down for final finish work

Sarge's ear catches a familiar but dreadful sound in the distance...

Clank, clank, skree, clank, clank, clank, clank...

Grabbing an optic I set it up outside the barn to see what is making that noise. Inside I already know the answer but I've got to confirm it...

Well, I knew it was too good to be true but I've got company. Maybe they'll pass by but with tanks comes infantry... hopefully they are just repositioning more towards the front lines.

But little did Sarge know that this tank group was accompanied by Waffen SS soldiers.

Helluva nice build, man. And, the presentation is even better.

Looks like Sarge is about to be in a heap of trouble.

I can see that the tanks moved on towards the western front. I thought that all of the foot soldiers went with them but I spotted a couple of soldiers in the distance that were left behind to man a machine gun pit. You know what this means...

Time to go huntin...

Cherokee Indian style... my ancestors would be proud.

I sneak out of my sanctuary...

Now to do a little recon from behind some bushes... I think I hears something. It sounds pretty close...

Now I'll put the slow crawl on them... sneak up like I'm hunting back home.

I see the Kraut reach for his pistol...

...but I am moving faster than he is and kick it out of his hand.

I land with a thud and quickly realize that I've got to go to my knife.

Jerry pulls his bayonet but I'm quicker. I block his move by grabbing his arm as I try to get mine past his outstretched hand...

I give up my left forearm defense to put all of my weight behind my Bowie knife and then drive it home!

Hmmmmm, an MG42. I can use this. To the victor go the spoils. I also find some pouches and maps and I grab everything that looks important and get to work...

Now to bury them so that no one will find them...

As I head back to my hideout the realization sets in that I don't have much time left...
