I can walk this back over to the workbench...

Oh MAN... was that heavy to lift up to the bench... I think over-exerted myself on this trailer.

I think I might pass out...

Thunk.

This is by far one of the most creative build threads I have seen. I've been eagerly awaiting every update! Keep up the great work, I love the creativity and humor!!!

Well - back to the suspension. Tightening the ends on the links...

Bending an upper link for some more clearance...

Ok - let's get serious and figure out where the shocks will be mounted.

I think this spacer will give me enough clearance to mount the shock properly.

Ok - working with the axles and the proper shock placement but this freaking thing won't hold still. It's like one of those old time, ill-behaving beach chairs that tries to snap shut and trap you.

Drove home the screw to hold the rear shock in place...

Looks like I've got it in the correct place.

Now to drive home the screw on the top mount of the front shock...

Just a quick check to see if it even works... Looks good to me !

Looks like I had room to move the fan to the inside of the radiator/grill area. Saved some space to aid in mounting the steering servo...

Decided to mount the steering servo upside down on the chassis. Gotta drill a hole to orient the body of the servo, using a long bit to come up from the bottom to know where to put the hole from above.

Sliding the servo in from the bottom to see how it fits...

Liiiiiiike a glove !

Any chance of getting an over head shot so I could see how much of your tires tuck inside of the body? Also, could Sarge give me a measurement of the body width? Thanks, you guys are doing good work.

Ok - let me see. I've got about 1" sticking out from the body and the body is 9 3/4" wide.

Here are some overhead views. Sarge says "Any narrower and it would be a Barbie car!"

The Jeep seems to leaning in this shot - it must be from the weight of the Bowie knife on my right leg !

Grabbed some bar stock from a pile of junk and decided to make a tie rod for the steering. I'll just whip out my Bowie knife and carve some threads into the rod and...

Presto! Instant threaded rod ! Dang this knife is handy !!!
