Getting to work on the suspension now - got the link mounts screwed in place.

Decided to paint the frame black to match the underside of the jeep.

Driving home the screws to hold the frame to the underside of the body...

And back to the paint booth to cover the screw heads with paint... gotta dull down the shine of those screws.

Gotta find a way to mount the radiator but still be able to remove it in case something shorts out and needs replacing. Using my Bowie knife I drill some holes in the body below the radiator mount.

Now to put some holes in the radiator support.

Mounted the screws into the radiator support that will go through the bottom of the body and held in place with washers and screws.

Time to screw the transmission & motor into place.

Starting to look tight in here... still gotta fit in a steering box, electronic engine control & battery.

Now to connect the driveshaft from the motor to the transfer case.

Decided to mock up a few things to get an idea what length links I'll be needing. Just tossed in some of the extra parts to see how it looks now...

Ok - ran into a problem with steering clearance. There is a bump in the body panel that sticks out into the wheel well area. When turning the wheels it gets tight in one direction so... executive decision... Out it comes!

Nothing like doing body work with my hands... I'll just get ahold of it and PUUULLLLLL ! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!

YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little touch up paint and it's like it never happened... kinda like any story that starts "So, There was this one time I was at band camp..."

Looks good from up here... well almost.

Starting to come together nicely, good to see some triangulation in the cage. Are you keeping the wheel base pictured or pushing the front axled forward a little to help the approach angle?

I'll push it forward as much as I can without it looking goofy.

Well, after patching the hole I cut into the fender well I decided that I'd boiler plate it with a full sheet for more strength. Figure the shocks mount here so it's probably a good idea to give it an extra bit more there.

I need to scour the barn for some more parts for this Jeep. I'll do a dismount from the counter top as it's faster !

Squat down for the jump...

And away we go !

Add a flip to it...

And stick the landing !

Trailer overboard !

I'll just flip it back over ...

Hmmmmm, what is this? It's got wires... maybe I'll try to connect it to a power source and see what happens...
