Its only fast because other guys figured it out & posted directions. I thank all the previous builders for helping me with mine.

Yesterday I received my locked up RC slipper delete kit & their mega truck driveshaft 80-100mm. To go between the transmission & transfer case.

The slipper kit gives you the room you need to fit the motor & tranny in the engine compartment.

The mega truck driveshaft fit like a glove it is perfect for this build.

I then measured up for a battery tray & bent up some aluminum.

Then I put the rest of the component in the engine compartment & took her for a spin through the house on a 2s battery. The drivetrain sounds great & very smooth! It is slow due to the reduction in the transfer case. But I'll see how it is on 3s. If I can't get the wheel speed I like I may have to up the pinion a little.

Mock up is just about done. Once she's completed I'll tear her down & get the metal painted & reassembled.

More to come!

What other pinions do you have? Also how much room do you have under the hood between the top of the spur and underside of the hood?

I have a 14 & 20 pinion. I have about 3/8 of a inch between the top of the spur & bottom of the hood.

Good to know, i would suggest trying the 20 tooth pinion first and see how the low end torque is. If you lose some torque, go up with the spur.

Default Mudbeast's Willies build

Thanks for the advise John!

Here is tonight's update,
I tore her down removed the engine compartment tray & battery tray. I also made a bracket for a fuel can. My jeep was missing the fuel can & shovel. So I was able to find some inexpensive replacements on eBay. The shovel is perfect and fits the grove perfectly, the gas can is great until I realized that it was stolen from the Nazi's!

WOW, your rig is coming along nicely. I'm super jealous, I wish I had the time. 😨

Keep doing a great job.

What gauge sheet metal did you use to make the tray under the hood?

I think it was 22 guage steel, but I will double check. I can make one for you if you would like.

Well I got the engine compartment all back together, the wiring is also done. I then took her for a spin around the yard, everything is surviving as it should. I started to make a winch bumper but didn't get to far.

very cool build! how wide is it? im considering using the same rims on some wraith axles for a large scale scratch build.
