Ive used 2mm traxxas ends from a 1/16 revo also for the lowers but its not required

If you like i can chop you off a piece of a 1/2 block of delrin to make a skid. You would have to find some one to machine it or cut it down to size.

Waiting on my chassis to arrive and was thinking about making a saddle pack out of the nimh 7.4 that came with my truck. The chassis looks tight in the cab so was thinking of putting them over the rear axles for a little weight back there. 3 on each side of chassis plate. I know nimh are dated but I have no other use for them and my lipos are to big for it now. Do you think this would work? My front already has a full size servo so it won't fit well there. Mamba25 and spek receiver will be in the cab.
O and I voted yes that I would buy one....so glad I won it I love the looks of this chassis!

Usualy with the NIMH packs people will tend to zip tye them to the top of the servo or to the rear plate. There's enought room on the rear axle that you could just atach it directly to the rear plate as it sits. If you do the NIMH bat in the rear you'll need to add weight to the front to get about a 60/40 weight ratio so when on the steep slope you don't flip from too much rear tire bite.

I really designed the chassis for the small 450-500amh lipos for weight reduction and preformance.

With the larger esc's they will sit directly in the cab nicle and the RX will fit nicely between the plates in the rear, if you look at the pictures of how I did it in the build, it sould be easy for you to set it up.

If you had the sidewinder sport it will fit perfectly in the nose or tail of the chassis plates under the hood or tail panel.

I cant believe I have been missing out on this thing.

First off, kick ass man, your work looks great. You cut this stuff out yourself
or you working with someone on it?

I like the look of this one,the radioused fast back will help prevent hangups when rolling over.

On your personal rig,you have some room for improvment.
I notice your chassis has alot of hardware
You lowered your weight simply by going to button head screws
and you can also use alum or ti screws for even greater weight savings.

I like the og style of the wide chassis
Just not using the og skid

I'll study this chassis more now that it has my attention
Again, great work, alot of thought and effort. It gets 5 stars from me

I would lose the top spacer at the back, you dont need 2
the lower one I would move up and use for the rear shocks

That would remove 1 spacer, and 4 screws,2 lock nuts off your ass end

I would move the front spacer back and use for the front shocks
that would lose 1 spacer,2 screws and 2 lock nuts

I would use smaller delrin rod for the top 2 on the cab
tap it for 2mm and use 2mm screws up top
That would lower you top side weight a bit.

If I had this chassis in my hands,I would cut out the horizontal crooked peace signe gussets
The chassis looks plenty thick enough,I dont think the gussets are needed.
That would drop weight on both sides.

Though this is v1 pic, your current sides have the same gussets, and could be removed I think.

If you dont mind, give me a shot like this, but show the bottom instead of the top,and maybe from opposing angles to.
I cant see everything going on in there,as far as how the sides are mounted to the chassis, skid, ect.

Default Out board - Mistake

It apears I had a brain fart and put the wron side hex for outpording the shocks. I put the 2.5mm's in the kit and should have been the 2mm's, my apologies. If you havn't already worked around it, PM me and I'll send you out the corect size.

Default Easy Wheel Weights w/Moroworx 1.9 Wheels

So I've been trying to find a way to make some adjustable weights for my moroworx wheels and I finaoy came up with this...

Take a 1 1/2 in washer with a 13/16th inner hole and drill two holes through it, stack them on either sied of the wheel and use two 20-24mm bolts to hold it all together.

Each washer weighs aproximatly .5oz and you can fit up to 6 washers on each wheel.

2 on the outside to move your weight s farthest away from eachother as posable and up to 4 in the inside of the wheel. Doesn't look bad either for $.30 each.

Motoworx 8 Hole 1.9 Wheel - 4oz

.5 oz washers

All put together w/ 1.5oz of weight added

Default Mvp update

So I finaly recieved my LOSI MRC Pro upper links in the mail today. I put the 3mm traxxas rod ends on to them and with the new plate mounting positions on my protoyple, they are a perfect fit... So Pro-uppers in front and rear/lowers in rear for the links to make the guess work easy if you don't want to fab your own uppers.

You can also see, it leaves plenty of room for my OTA stearing kit under the plate.

Now some of the goodies I got to beef up the Lil old MRC

Fixed rear axle's
3Racing swing shafts(they look a little small so I hope they hold up.)
Integy C's

Rear Fixed axle

Integy C's and swing shaft

MRC Pro Upers

adam, how much steering angle can you get with your MRC? as you know i'm using a maxstone 16 as a platform to upgrade and i'm not happy with the amount of steering angle it has in stock form. i would upgrade with MRC parts if they provide a significant increase.

by the way, you MRC is looking awesome!
