some a.e. chassis protector sheet or even a piece of packing tape over the motor panel would also stop the dirt from getting in.

I dont have my truck on me right now but does anyone with a rey know the output size of the driveshaft hub. I know the yetis is 5mm. I hoping the reys is as well. I have some measurements from MIP from the twin hammers truck if anyone is interested in sizing thiers up. Im at work amd dont have my truck here with me otherwise i would.

anybody bent a rear upper link yet? im thinking about using a revo "pushrod" but I gotta see what one will work today. ive had nothing else fail but the servo horn. other than that.. this truck takes a damn beating. and it will be entered in 4x4sc races in MSCS and Thumb RC this year. next year it will be getting a rx8 gen 2 with a novak sensored motor maybe. we will see. im not happy with stock servo, so it got a savox. and now I hate the gritty unsensored feel of the stock motor and esc. if you want different tires... use the tlr 22 series sc rims. they are the same offset. |

Maybe because the yeti mips have a lip machined into them. The twin hammers shaft looks flat on the ends. You think that would make a difference?

I hear ya but i have a love for MIPS! Then again id rather the driveshaft be the weak point as opposed to the rear axle or tranny.

the weakest point on this truck is the servo horn. next in line the upper rear links. other than that... nothing stops it. ive beat the hell out of my truck on 2s. no point on 3s. fast enough. the cage flexes. hasn't broke. and I don't see it breaking. hell... I can see the rear quarters getting torn apart before the cage breaks. the truck may be super flimsy... but it benefits from it. the truck jumps straight and flys straight. its actually easy to scrub this truck in the air. |

I replaced my rear uppers with some titanium ones I had floating around. They were left overs from a project that I never finished. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I tried... every link I found was 1-2 mm to short with revo long ends.

Yeah i hear ya on that. Im really hoping for an aluminum steering belcrank to remove some slop. That and metal steering turnbuckles. Rear uppers can be tinkered with. Maybe size up my yetis or something.

im not gonna put metal anything steering wise unless its the knucles or a better steering horn. turn buckles... you could look into a slash 4x4 length and maybe look at a lundsford set. |

Which servo do you guys think is best for this truck? I'm assuming we don't need a super high torque servo like a rock racer/crawler does.

I put a Protek 130T in mine. I also use it one of my Tekno SCT410's and it's been going strong since day 1. I also bound my DX4S up to the stock receiver and ditched the DX2e.

any servo with 160 + oz of torque. any servo that's faster than .15 sec for me. look at servo specs. make sure you don't get plastic gear servos. or anything cheaper than 50.. |

I tried to use the Tactic servo that came with my yeti becuase i had an Al servo horn for it. But when i plugged it in and turned it on it got hot and basically killed the servo. My mistake. Lesson learned. I will upgrade the stock one when it fails.

| Re: Losi Baja Rey 1/10th 4WD RTR desert truck Yep, I am certain if the lip was ground off with a dremel it would fit the shaft. I didn't check the compressed and extended length to see if it worked with the suspension properly. I was borrowed from my yeti so when I realized the shaft hole didn't line up I re installed it onto my yeti. I figure with the center diff the stock driveshaft will most likely do fine.
