Had a project come my way. Needed to replicate a bumper, but in another color. So I designed the piece in my software, then printed it.
White piece is the original, black is PLA+ 3d printed plastic. The two black bumpers are the finished product. One was a test piece that came out terrible. Changed the print orientation and it came out great!
This was a really nice learning experience. I haven't had the need to replicate a piece before really. The keen may observe that it's not a 100% replica. I felt a solid piece would be stronger in the material. It's actually the same weight, give or take, as the original. I also changed some of the rear facing angles for ease of printing. This took me a few hours of work.
I was considering using a photo stitching program to 3d render the bumper, but I haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet. Someone wants me to design a motorcycle fender 1:1, so that'll be interesting!

C clamp mounts. The Ascender cage is a smaller diameter than Axial, so I wrapped electrical tape to thicken it up.

Pretty cool!
the turn signals arent nearly as obnoxious as some Ive seen, they seem to not enable until there a good amount of input to the servo

Made a solder 3rd hand. Found a diy instructable on the internet. I had worn my original one out.
Have 5 hands instead of 2 for about $10

Got the 10ii done. Used magnets but they aren't strong enough to keep the lid on if it gets hit. So a little Velcro to help out will go on in the morning.

Had a MMP ESC fail a few weeks back. Sitting on the shelf killed it I guess...
Sent it to Castle, $95 dollars later I have a killer Mamba X ESC.

Pulled the MMP that was in the TRX4 replaced with the X. Since the TRX4 has the largest motor it got the big ESC.

Photo is crap, just a bunch of wires, but here it is nonetheless.

Finally got around to installing a few bits I’ve had since FEBRUARY.....
Installing a rear locker and under drive gears in the OG TRX and was pleasantly surprised to see the Traxxas gear set came with a plug to seal where the diff lock cable once was.

Oh, and a new power plant...

Found a cool 3d print file online. Paid $6.50 for the files. The fenders turned out nice.
https://pinshape.com/items/30293-3d-...ab-floor-sides

The rear tray section, is pointless. (Photos in link)
No way to attach it, kind of a bummer. Didn't notice it in the photo, but the rear piece is being held up by a clamp!
Oh well. Fenders have nice detail, and fitment is great.

Need to 3d print a changed battery tray setup, easy fix.
I'm going to try and print a rear fender setup. More scale, I dislike seeing wires, and ESC. ETC.
