Started on the pintle hitch and bracket, welded and trimmed some of the rear suspension members and mounted them to the frame, made the 2 upper link mounts that only go on the passenger side, made all the links from the green OG ax10 tubes. I sanded off the anodizing in the drill press and cut to length. At some point I'll replace these with 3/16" rod but didn't feel like drilling and tapping 12 holes for the rod ends at the moment. I ran out of the RC4WD steely rod end too so I had to use some plastic ones for the time being. Last edited by sellenk; 02-18-2012 at 08:58 PM. |

Thanks for all the great comments guys! Started work on the fifth wheel and mounting plates. Drilling all those holes sucked and took forever, taking it apart marking drilling then reassembling to make sure everything lined up right. All the time payed off though I think it turned out pretty sweet. Couldn't resist laying down some olive drab on the back of the frame as well. |
