Did a bit of measuring, my fronts are 4" rear 3.5"
That is what I have as big bores, ordered caps and springs from Eric

If you can mount springs up.. to keep weight as low as possible... try shocks both ways and see what you like best.

I'm lost and pissed for tonight . Shocks built, fought traxxas ends, put on and I just don't know if the tops are correct.... Little side to side, seem OK. Bottom on servo side is #%*!!*# yeah, bangs into servo... Any ideas, not sure of longer ends for these shocks, or angled ?? Stock were angled, much larger diameter

I will have to make some tube extensions for the top. I don't think there are any longer or angled 3mm links

Run a cap mod on those guys. You can get some of the tiny 3mm rod ends from traxxas.

Tra2742x.

Edit: and yes with the dlux stand offs, there is side to side play. You can get some small orings and put 1 on each side to help the play. Also the front not clearing the servo, that's why it comes with bent rod ends on the bottom. Or mount on the outside of the mounts.

Cap mod is what I need, I've seen both 3mm and 4mm done, I'm thinking 3mm because of the dlux spring holders are set for the traxxas ends

O ring is a great solution, I saw the bent ones, just not available in 3mm

Yes there is, the ones on the stock shocks are 3mm. And rc4wd sells 3mm bent rod ends. Dlux also has bent 3mm rod ends. His are a little smaller then the ones that come on the bully front shocks.

This is with the cap mod and bent ends from the stock shocks.

You can even try the bent end on the piston shaft if you want to keep them right side up, might work and might not have to do the cap mod.

Piston shaft is 3mm is your cap mod 4mm ?

His is 3mm, since he's using bent rod ends. I used 3mm as well for my cap mod.

Icons seem like a good route from all the build threads I've been reading. Picked up a set of the titanium shaft icons from rc recycler and will give those a try at some point too. Don't think you could go wrong either way, just preferences from what I've seen.

You guys made no sense....UNTIL I took off the bent ends from the stock shocks, and found 3mm not 4 mm as the shaft looked!!

I'm going to the bench with my Dremel!

Thanks!
