i see lots of super clods running the knuckle packs, but i cant do that. could run 3 cells on each side, may not fit on the servo side. maybe 4 on pass. side and 2 standing up on driver side?

Run 2/3A Cells... 3 on each axle.. Cheapbatterypacks.com will make them pretty cheap.

I looked at that thread. They where talking about the C's. Not the Gear Case itself. It may never have a problem. I would just keep an eye on it or get Alumn Gear Cases.

I have used these on a 2.2 clod.
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/The-Stick...r-p-16195.html

These will fit on 1 axle tube.

Before I went Lipo I ran 4x 2/4A's on each Axle. 3 would fit just as easy.. If you get RC4WD Braces or make your own. You can mount them under enough. Even mounting them on top of the Brace would be lower then mounting them anywhere on the backbone.

well i just ordered the only brick pack TCS had in stock. will mount all six on the pass. side.

got to measuring and i would still have room to mount 3 on each side even with the servo, BUT TCS didnt have any of those in stock :?

brick pack like this?
TCS bricks are some fine batt's right there

Here is one of the mount it self made out of 1mm Alu sheet

Pretty easy and functional
(Sorry for the goofy print on the table)

Great build so far!

yea, thats what i got. i got one of those velcro strap things too to hold them to the bracket.

but im thinking of making the bracket up above the batts so they will sit down on the axle tube and back toward the steering

still waiting on the new tires so i mocked up the claws on it. had to turn the wheels inside out to make it not so wide, it looks goofy being 12 1/2" wide.
its 11 1/2" in these pics.

should be 10 1/2 with new tires and wheels

picked up some Shoe Goo today at walmart and started glueing my rock rings on. i like that stuff!

got a problem now, i am stuffing the tires with poly-pellets. i am trying to put 13 oz. in each tire, but i can only fit 7.5 oz and it is full to the brim!.

kerrywittig measured some out and said they weighed the same
AirSoft VS Poly Pellets

well jarrod is running 13 oz of Air Soft's, why the hell cant i fit it with these.

so now im wondering about just putting about 6 oz in them and then adding stick on weights. right now i have 6 oz of the pellets in them and the tire/wheel weigh about 11.5 oz total. i like the way the tire is acting, seems nice and firm on sidewalls and conforms over stuff good.

maybe i should go get som airsofts or what
