I'm running those HK special axles on my trx4. The only fitment issue I had was needing to remove some paint on the tabs the rod ends mount between.

I did notice the same thing when I put everything back together last night after I read your post. How do you like them?

It's hard to see but I have started trimming out the front fenders. There's a lot of material to be removed. The from grill will fit into the fender. There is a big difference in how much heavier the truck is with the new axles

One fender down and one to go. There was a good bit of removing plastic to get the light buckets on the grill to fit around the fenders. You can see the difference between the two.

Was able to get some work done after I got home from work today. It's really starting to come together now. Just need to work on front bumper next.

really liking the body swap. check out shapeways if you want to suck your front bumper mount back 11.5mm
they have a 7v 0h mount from lockedup rc. used a 0v 0h on my swap and put my bumper just where I wanted.

I have been looking at those Locked up mounts. I have also been talking with Knight Customs making a direct fit bumper for the TRX rails. Basically wanted to take the Axial bumper and make it fit in the TRX rails. It should come out looking awesome.

Also the fit of the body is still rough. It will soon be all sorted out and straight. Then to finish up the chassis and run some wires. I have an idea for the wires but just not sure if I want to go that route just yet

Like the bolt on bumper idea. I've been eyeballing that knight customs steel printed bumper for my sr5 but havent pulled the trigger on it yet.

I have used his designs many times now. Very detailed and fit perfectly. I was trying for the Smitty MOD bumper that will hold the winch also. I have seen it used on his Jeeps. I really flows with the front grill IMHO. I was also trying for it plastic to help with the cost

For my wiring idea I going to use some wire sleeve that I left over from when I made my charging leads. It might take a little bit to run all the wires through but I think it's going to look different. Plus the color scheme is American as a Jeep and apple pie. Any thoughts on it?

My T6 is also with the same colors

My thoughts on the colored wire loom is keep loom black so it hides the wires rather than makes them standout. I usually shrink wrap a good portion of my wiring black especially if you can see it through the windows. Just makes it look more scale if you can't see the wiring IMO.

I agree. I don't like wiring. Hide it when you can.

I am nut when it comes to wiring. I will spend hours playing around with the wires. I thought about doing it in black but I already have the colors. Looking forward to putting in an interior so it won't be visible through the windows. I am stuck and not sure what to do.

That Jeep has quite a few windows, I agree with black as well.

Could you use that to make some little scale rope bits or something?

I probably could to something like that never thought of it. With the interior and fenders you wouldn't see any of the chassis unless the body is off. Black is still a possibility since the sleeve is cheap.
