Yes. Way more steering authority and virtually zero bumpsteer with that setup, did same on my K10!

Love the cut down bumpers.

Nice pair...lol.

My boys first comp today with his own rig, he was real keen to go but as soon as we got there he just wanted to play with the other children or be a basher!
So after my runs with the K10 I drove the courses again with the bronco. It did very well with stock suspension and no sway bar!

Rear lexan bumper cut off , flares cut back to 5mm and 5mm cut off sills under the doors. Body posts lowered 2 holes, but I have put rubber washers on top of post so it's more like lower 1.5 holes.

Do the same driveshafts work on different wheelbases?

As far as I know, yes.

I replaced my Blazers standard drive shafts with Vaterra heavy duty ones, and in the bag was a short shaft and a long shaft.
I re used the same shafts when I shortened the blazer chassis to make the K10, and by the looks of it the Bronco runs the same shafts too. Short inner and outer on the front, long inner and outer on the rear. CORRECTION I just checked the Bronco again and it uses short inner and outer on front and rear.

I guess you could always mix and match inner and outers to suit your application.

Did some more things to the Bronco, Got around to doing the Natedog 9mm internal shock limiters, lowered shock adjusters all the way and deleted external rubber bump stops like Codyboy has done.

Hot racing sway bar kit has arrived, much better value than the axial kit as you get 2 sets of arms, bars, ball links etc.

Still only used 2 arms to replace my homemade ones.....

These hot racing arms are a little shorter than my homemade ones were, so this has stiffened the rear bar a bit more than I like, but I will run it for a while as is.

These mods are a bit of the old " less is more " type of thing! Less shock travel and articulation, and less ground clearance equals more stability and crawling performance.

My K10 rig is running great, I am really happy with the Jconcepts Scorpio tyres and my rig can hold its own against pit bull and klr shod scx10 and 10.2 rigs.

I agree. They are great and underrated in my opinion.

Brutal courses today, the guys I crawl with play hard and non of them run front bumpers, all their rigs have the tyres sticking out in front of the body. So my stinger winch bar had to go today, just no way through the gates with out ramming it hard against vertical flat rock walls...

Also suffered some damage today, broke the rear upper link to axle screw, it's happened 3 times to me now and I have never successfully got the broken bit out of the axle housing without destroying it. This is my prized Codyboy weighted axle too. I have been tinkering around with some ideas to toughen it up.....
I see lotsa people running the alloy upper link riser, but I would think it would put even more load on the 2 screws? I'm not running 3s or a big motor, stock RTR everything, even got the slipper backed off a little.

Are there screws that won't break? Not sure what would be better, but maybe check McMaster carr?

Hey yeti, that axle has seen its better days. I can help you out with a new axle if you want to pay for shipping down under. Maybe you could put that one on Jr rig. So only cost is shipping!
