I'm becoming a fan of the dueces wild foams too. My rigs are heavier, 10+ lbs and I like them because they leave a little air gap so the tire has flex and can grip obstacles but won't fold over on side hill. I am running CI two stage foams on my new leaf spring ascender at 12lbs and they seem firm enough but not very broken it yet either. Plus I didn't see another option for my 1.55" tires.

Great series of pics, how did CODYBOY manage to give post #120 more than one "like"?

I'd appreciate the ability to pull that off, myself!

Every now and then I get stuck in situations like this, chassis rails Jammed into the rock and I gotta reverse, so I made a steel plate to add strength and hacksawed off a bit of the chassis!

No more sticky outy chassis bits!

Without the body on, I can drive straight at a vertical flat wall and it will start to climb up without the chassis touching.

The guys I crawl with and the rules they run allow this sort of thing.

This Honco is tricked out, and has enough steering angle to make CODYBOY proud!

This bonus gate was tough, only way up was to pin the throttle just as your front wheels got to the top and bounce your way up!

Alloy clamping servo arm installed now.
The stock plastic arm served me well with soft foams, but only lasted 1 day with the CI DW foams, the foams are great but really load up the steering components. Hope the rest of the parts hold up...

Going to try Natedog style CI DW foams in the Vaterra TSL tyres on the Bronco, so it's out with the soggy old lil novas 4.50 mediums......

And in with the new DW TSL XL foams, cut down as per Natedog has done, I'm trusting you here Natedog! Didn't feel right cutting these new foams up!

The old foams were getting a bit soft, and always soggy, could never dry em out between trail runs etc. The cut down DW have made the Vaterra tyres damn hard! I hope they break in and soften a bit. Took it for a test at my usual spot and on the grippy rocks it's good, but in the dirt or slippery rocks performance has really suffered, not much grip at all and overall made the Broncos ride quite harsh.

I will stick with them and see how they go after some run time, mud, water.....

On the heavier K10 rig with the XL size Jconcepts scorpios, I couldn't be happier with the DW foams, and the scorpios just seem to really kick ass anywhere! Loose dirt, gravel, soil and leaves, smooth sandy sandstone etc, just great.

Cheap hobby king servo wasn't up to the job with the DW foams, stripped gears within 1 battery pack of crawling. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.

ECX Barrage looks great and fits the Tamiya Cruiser body well. As usual great pictures. You'll like the CI DW foams, they will take several weeks of regular crawling to break in, but I love mine. Very nice job on the frame trimming, I've thought about it, but been hesitant lol. When you fixed your broken grill, ShoeGoo (or E6000) and couple button head screws? I wish the grill was thicker and maybe nylon instead of styrene plastic. I'm about to glue mine on with E6000 and headlight buckets for LEDs.

Thought about four 0-80 screws around each headlight to strengthen and simulate real screws.

No amount of super glue could keep it from braking in the same spot after any kind of hit or tumble, so I just put a couple of screws in it, it's not going anywhere now.

Had another 2 battery pack trail run on the Bronco, weighted the wheels a bit and also got the steel bumper so it's a little heavier now, and I do believe the foams are starting to give a bit and soften a little.

I guess comparing the Vaterra tsl to the scorpios on the K10 is a bit unfair too, completely different tyre on completely different rig.

Yes, super glue (CA) is very high strength, but brittle and does not take impact well. Couple screws works and I had to look closely to see them. I E6000'ed mine back on, gotta stop by and look for 0-80 nuts to go with the screws, train section here we come. Yes, Scorpios are definitely softer than Vaterra TSLs.

Another question for you guys, will the Savox 1210 servo handle 7.4 volts? Ordered one to replace the busted hobbyking one, hk servo rated at 7.4 so that's what I got the BEC set too.

The Savox specs show speed and torque at 6v but on the heading it claims torque at 7.4v, but 7.4 v is never mentioned again in any others spec tabs?
