I have to say this totally eliminated the steering slop, and fixed a problem with the steering binding to the left. This is a great product.

When you did this mod, could you actually use the wholes that you blacked out and removed, to place the nuts and screw for the steering instead of stacking?

No they don't line up and if you make the holes larger to line up you add back the slop you are trying to get rid of.

Breaking top plates constantly?
The Double D steering kit eliminates both problems. You get the aluminum top plate and the steering bellcrank in one unit. The bellcrank setup eliminates the massive slop and binding that is created in the stock steering rack. The top plate provides a stronger front end for those big jumps and hard hits.

Can't find the answer too this question. Is this steering setup going to bolt on directly to the new GCM front setup? I'm looking 2 buy both

Check my post out on my twin hammer. You can see how I mounted mine on my GCM mount... Any questions ask...

I wish to buy (2) servo horns. I want one for the stock setup servo AND the Solor D772. Can you provide info on what spline I'm going to need? Thanks ALOT guys!

The stock servo is the same as Futaba. I'm not sure on the other servo, I don't have any experience with that brand.

I really wish I had better news for you guys right now. I'm learning the hard way how difficult it can be to get machine shops to work with you when you’re just a small time customer to them. I have had to go in search of a new shop to machine my parts for me. It’s not the easiest thing to find a shop to take on a job this small. I recently have found a guy locally that is willing to work with me and we're in the process of finishing up the programming for the cnc. I’m really hoping to have a test run in the next couple days and then have parts and kits ready to go out next week. I apologize for it taking so long because I know some of you have been waiting patiently for awhile now. I've invested too much time and money out of my own pocket to not fight til I get this going again. I will post up later this week when I have more news for you guys.

X2 thanks for the news. Good Luck finding someone who is willing to work with you, I know how machine shops can be about special tasks. Some are just dicks about it.

Good parts are worth the wait...

Darren,

I feel your pain, been there done that with machine shops. Always make sure that you get your own copy of the files, so that if you have to go somewhere else to get them done it should be faster and cheaper. Good luck and update us when you can.
