Should i.sell this crawler or should i make it more of.a.hill.racer? i have two.bl.motors to choose from. A tacon 5900 kv and a aquacraft 2030kv motor. Which.would work better and i have a sv2 esc.maybe.

Ok here we go. Building a foff. Things i will be doing,
take apart tranny and crawler. Put the ul1 2030kv motor on the tranny. Mount it up. No.im tryibg to figure out where to mount the lipos. Hopefully going to use 2 2s in series. Mounted where?. Should i use rovers or get 17mm adapters to use the tires from my truggy? suspension will be different. I will try limiting the suspension in the front and lowrring the.front. What else should i get

suggestions i would take. think about making a new chassis. a flat deck chassis like a touring car. extend your wheel base to around 14in. limit your shocks front and rear so it only has about 60mm of travel which will be about half of the travel of a 120mm shock. get a set of the proline split six beadlock wheels for a traxxas slash and mount a set of paddles on it, they will have a 12mm hex so they will fit right on. if you make a new chassis make it almost as wide as the width its self. then you can mount your batteris on either side and your tranny and electronics right down the middle.

ok. i have a chassis planned out in my mind. ill jusr make it a bodiless. almost like the rmdw chassis kinda. wjat materials should i.use and where can i get them? im thinking make a chassis thats like the rmdw and then.add boxes on the sides tjat can hold the battery and can also have adjustments too. what adjustments do.i need? shocks, uppers. what about.lowers and how can i. also, do i want the.motor and tranny closer up.front or keep in the middle?

a bodied rig would be a little better for FOFF. you dont want a chassis like RMDW's for FOFF. you want a chassis that is like this

3racing Main Chassis 1/10 Touring Car EP On-road SAKURA ZERO TAMIYA S S07 | eBay

but make it out of aluminum and make it just as wide as the width of the axials or a little less. just make small corner mounts to hold the batterys in place onn the outter edge of the chassis. mount your tranny just a little offset to the front of the rig, and make a small plate thats above the driveshaft and mount your electronics on there. for mounting options just go with the upper shock mounts an upper link mounts. your going to want to make your chassis a doul deck chassis and fab some shock and upper link mounts in to the tp deck. ill have a pick up in a few showing a good chassis layout for a FOFF that would be based off a doul deck carbon fiber schumacher mi4lp pro carbon touring car

here ya go, a pic with description of what i would do to make a nice low center of gravity FOFF chassis

small red writing above diff rear:
extend top deck to just short of length of lower deck. make shock and upper link mounting points that either bolt on or are made right off of the top deck. make mounting points around the place of where the diff is

small red writing above diff front:
do the same as what is stated over the rear

small red wrinting in the middle:
made battery mounting places on either side like what is on the right side of the car. mount your electronics on the top of the top deck and mount your trans and motor under neith the top deck.

move the trans just a tad, not much just tad forward to help a little bit better with steering. yes a wide chassis is key, it will allow for better placement of your batteries and electronics. no, use a link setup 4 link but you are only going to want to have links that are about 1in to 1 1/2in. long before you put rod ends on.

when i was going to build a FOFF rig i was going to make it around a touring car chassis but the funds never came throught so i couldnt make the rig anymore

ohhhh, didnt mention that. ya then your ideas would probly be best for your style of chassis. i thought you were going to biuld a serius strong running FOFF rig.
